Just wondering if anyone else have received a message from a dating site thru this website ?

Apparently Christine wants to hook-up with me.

Cal.

None here either.  Hope Christine is not a '58 Plymouth.

There have been large numbers of foreign spammers registering and sending such PMs recently. The moderators are trying to deal with it. I suggest you hit the report button on the private message. That will alert the moderators if it is one that they are not aware of yet.

Thanks MCHinson.

There was no way that I was going to open it.

I just looked and has vanished, not in my private e-mail or private deleted file or on my notification here.

I guess if you look at it and they can tell, if no reply right away somehow they make it disappear.

Ah the wonders of the computer age.

Cal.

If you just saw an email notification and then when you went to the forum you could not find the message, it was a spammer who was banned and the system deleted their spam messages when they were banned. Even if you saw it on the site, if they were banned it would disappear.

A week or so ago, this was a hot topic in the

"General Discussion" category.  Evidently, quite

a number of people received such messages,

and the moderators took strong action to try to

stop the fraud.

The advice to report the message is good.

Maybe this is a week-old message from before the

ban;  or else the fraudsters found a way still to get in.

On the Spammers Forum there is a challenge to see if anyone can post a listing to the AACA Forum that won't get picked apart and criticized to pieces.

They tried to sell Christine and there were eighteen pages about whitewall tires, white sneakers, and women's shoe sizes.

And one guy from Kansas asked about the silo.
