Guest
I posted the following as a reply in another thread, but I believe it's important enough to warrant its own heading. [color:\\"red\\"] MY TWO CENTS WORTH: I've never met Russ, or Barney, or Robert, or Mike, or Ross, or any of the other Forum members -- but I consider them friends. They've helped me with a variety of Reatta problems, and, hopefully, I've passed on a tip or two myself. We have fun, we kid each other, we share a love of Reattas. We are registered with the Forum, and in so doing, have posted our e-mail addresses and assumed responsibility for our remarks. We do not hide behind a cloak of anonymity; if we make an ill-thought-out remark, we have to stand with it. Because we have identified ourselves, we've established a certain amount of credibility and trust with each other. Not so with the anonymous. You can sit on the sidelines, take potshots and never have to be accountable for your words. There's something about your anonymity that, foolish as it may sound, equates with faceless men in white sheets.I invite you to register; why should you not? Don't be an outsider; be a real part of the Forum; get involved, let people know who you are...and, best of all, become friends with this marvelous bunch of people.Jerry SellersFullerton, California

Guest wally888
I get pissed, I'm a 2 finger typer, when I spend a considerable time trying to help and get no answer, either helped or didn't. Am tempted and sometimes do ignore anon. posters. Most aggravating is a long thread w/ many entries by the person w/ the problem, registered or not, lots of members trying to help then silence. You never know what solved the problem. IMHO: 1. Register to post 2. Provide an email address (anyone can get a free Hotmail-lots of porn too!) 3. I think the Forum opening page should provide Links to info re., but not limited to, Attention New Owner ( things to service/test/etc), Buyers Checklist, reatta,net.............. I see a lot of names receiving thanks here but seldom notice anyone mentioning Tom Jenkins and his reatta.net! I think he is 100% responsible for all the info there! Lots of work! Thanks Tom. Guest EDBSO
Yes big thanks to Tom and Wally888.Wally888, correct me if I am wrong, and I have been and will be again, but wasn't it you who said that if you ever had to reregister you would register as "big b**sted Betty with round heels" or something similar? Think it was close but no cigar? Do you regret coming back as Wally888, and again congratulations and welcome back.I recall a poster saying that because of liability reasons he would not post registered on a brake thread. Also find the feedback on successful repairs is sorely missing.

Guest
I believe if anyone takes the time to ask questions or make statements on this forum, then they can take the time to register. Anonymous posts are beginning to take up a lot of space on this forum. It's a great place for Reatta owners and obviously potential future Reatta owners as well.My two cents..... padgett
Suspect many anonymous posts are the result of the new Netscape-hostile board. Know I could not stay logged in with NS 4.79 and was forced to Internet Explorer. Perhaps the board is really owned by Microsoft.
Guest
Anyone noticed that of the 128 or so people who have viewed this thread, the only ones who replied are registered? You'd think the anonymous types would want to state their case for not identifying themselves... Jerry
Guest Reatta1
I applaud your comments on anonymous posters. I have availed myself of much great information and a bunch of help on this forum and it has all come from registered posters. I was steered to this forum by my son-in-law and registered immediately. I looked for nearly two years for Reatta information and some parts but got no help from my dealer even though I have a lot of faith in their service department. (they apparently have no knowledge of the forum) Everything they looked up for me came back 'no longer available' or 'out of stock'. I enjoy the information, comments, witty remarks, wisecracks etc. and think this forum is the best thing I've ever seem dedicated to Reatta lovers and helping all owners with pretty much every concievable problem or question that could arise. To all the registered posters, KUDO'S, to all noneemuses, register or go away.
monica
I would like to add to this.... I don't spend as much time as I would like or should on this forum and really post mostly when I am having problems with my car or need advise (i know thats bad of me). Lots of times, I just read and watch what's going on with people who love the same type of car I do. Everyone on this forum has always been nothing but helpful with their suggestions, ideas, etc... I've recieved phone calls and emails from many of you who have helped in so many ways. I consider myself fortunate to be permitted to register and take part in discussions with all of you. Anonymous users are foolish to want to remain outsiders. Thats all...
Guest checkers
I have allways found this forum to be just what the doctor ordered for reatta owners. There is no end to the depth of knowlage you people have and I enjoy reading all the posts.I rarely contribute to the forum because by the time I get a chance to read the posts the problem has been solved or a suitable answer has been allready posted. But when I do post Iam never anonymous. My real name is Rob Eaton, I use checkers so I wouldn't get confused with Barneys posts he adds so much to this forum.88 blue coupe90 red coupe9o white convertBCA 38442RDiv

It's only a choice that really doesn't amount to anything.I suspect that many post anonymously because they don't know how or forget to register. Lighten up. Guest Jack91
I too would like to thank those responsible for this forum. If we didn't have it I probably wouldn't keep the Reatta .I enjoy checking the forum each evening. As far as registering;it adds more interest and information to the comments if you have a general idea of what part of the country they are from and to whom you are talking. You know when they are talking about 5 degrees below zero you wonder where they coming from. Our lows in NE are still in the thirtys.-----------Jack91
tnheygirl
I thought I'd throw my opinion in the hat. I am guilty of ANONYMOUS postings. Only because I am usually in an uproar about my car acting up and get ahead of myself.Although I do identify myself in the actual post. I think its important to register because this board is not just a discussion board. We all come here for not just advice but "how-to" directions. It is a courtesy to register if you want free how-to advice. I feel as though if you come here and want us to spend the time to help you, its the least you can do to spend a couple of your minutes registering. Guest
I agree on the registry of a name but I think there are sometimes problems with the forum that prevent or change registry. I'm 2seater and I cannot register at all! I did have a virus problem and we had to reformat the hard drive and I lost everything. Maybe I have a setting screwed up or something but nothing works. I can't register as a new or previous member.
Guest
Aaaamen JoeReatta, who has the same name as me but is not me. Who cares? The only valid point is that you never find out if things work out or not. People don't register cuz they don't know anything and therefore do not want to be asked anything. They are being honest, they are not members. Its not a bad thing if people don't register, the few registers allow people to know who knows something. I there were more registers people wouldn't know who to ask, even though it is posted and everyone can see what you're writing. For the most part I can see what is being said, but lately I haven't seen so many of these anonymous postings, so its more of a non issue to me. Guest
With more than one abnormalmous reply to a particular topic, one does not know if the same person is responding or several anonymous persons are responding.Sort of like name theft. With a registered person, there is no question it is that person responding, since a password must be used. Will all anonymous posters please move to the bottom of the list.Thank you.

Guest
Hey atleast I'm a contributor. I'm giving you something to post on. The only thing close to a contribution on your part is repeatitive asking of the same questions over and over again. No one cares to hear about your stupid hood scoope. I've seen it. Its a stupid ripoff of a Ferrari. And those R25 rims suck as well as those LEAFS, or should I say laughs.
bigsteviejoe
You're an ASS.I don't totally disagree but those rims weigh 17lbs.Listen, if you come here, i hope you know its already winter and IF the cops find you after you mess with the Reatta you'll be in deep trouble, so just relax and I'll complement you on your username. Guest Reatta1
Gosh golly gee. I thought I was coming to a forum but found a boxing ring! At least it isn't as phony and ugly as WWW wrestling I guess if someone is that dead set against registering we'll never know just how nice a Alien they is. Heated discussion and barbs do add some spice to this space. Keep it up guys, I'm enjoying this!!
Reatta_Cruzin
Jesus, I haven't logged on for a while and this is what I come back to!! I can't leave you registered kids alone bu yourselves, can I? BigStevieJoe, he won't F*#$ with your car, and if he does, I'll personally drive to where ever you live and pay him a visit. Just shows what kinda man he is. Has to mess with your car instead of facing you. " Don't make fun of me or I will key your paint" instead of facing u with the problem. That's bad! I'd rather Fat Bastard not be registered. Don't need him. He couldn't possibly benifit us with valuable info unless we wanted to become "Little Bitches" like him!!!
