1. I haven't been to the forums for a long time now. A fellow from Michigan ahd come to my home in Indiana and purchace my Reatta from me on the spot. I informed him of this forum and other reata sites. I am hoping this person sees this topic. I would kina like to know what is going on with "RED" these days.
2. I would say to do it in Kokomo, Indiana again. Seemed to be a good turn out of Reatta's there in '02.
3. I know to stay away from the '84's(first year of production). I had two '85's one being a SE and the other a GT. I also had a '87 GT, the '87 being my favorite. I was the aero body Fiero-looked awesome. The only bad thing about the cars I would have to say would be the front end lift it had at speeds over 100mph. Felt super losse(floaty) up front. I had fun with mine and if you guys get one, I'm sure you will also. Maybe you should push a Reatta on him.
4. I would recomend that you go ahead and find u a 3800 to put in your car or have the existing engine rebuilt. And since it has so many miles on her, you don't have to leave the motor stock. Thats just me. It would be alot easier to sell it and find you a nicer one and drive it. But just don't give up on driving Reattas, there a real attention getter.
5. Whats the good word on the door handle?
6. Would you happen to have a driver side exterior door handle? Also what kind of condition is the taillight assembly in?
7. Been a while since my last post. Haven't visited the forum in a while. As of monday, my '90 had it's 200,000 mile "birthday" also. Still no smoke, ticking, or rattling. Knock on wood.
8. I would have to say NO. That would be kind of like mixing 5w30 and 10w40 together in your crankcase. A big no no.
9. So how did the "day time running lights" work? I imagine it would be the driving lamps on all the time, right? Just curious. I can't seem to keep the bulbs from blowing out in mine. The only problem I have as of now at 199,455 miles.
10. My '90 key holes light up. I was also under the impression that '89 was the last year for that, untill one night my wife noticed it while lifting the door handle while it was still locked. They do come on when int. lights come on.
11. Looks like a warmed up small block Chevy! I would like to know what type of car is housing it. It looks like to me like a Chevy II "Deuce" Thats about how mine looks anyway Also looks like it has a bottle of go-go juice plummed to it
12. Corvair? I hope it is at least a spyder. Good luck
13. ALF, tell JJ to put a "R" logo on the hood, he'll sell it faster that way
14. Right here in Wabash, In. there is a '90 Maui Blue with tan top and tan leather. A retired dentist owns it.
15. I was looking at the Reatta's you guys have posted earlier. They are really nice looking cars. It kinda makes me want to delete the photos of mine of maybe stick them in another gallery. My Reatta is not worthy to be in the same catergory as yours.
