Michael CPA
I know very few things under the hood are stock but was wondering. Does anyone know if he used stock colors?
avgwarhawk
Under the hood pictures show red valve covers. Silver looking block. The body I can not say with any facts that the paint color is stock.

The silver gray is metallic and the grays in 55 were non-metallic. I would not be surprised if the the black did not have some metallic also. https://www.hometownbuick.com/1955-buick/1955-buick-colors-exterior-paint/ Unless you anticipate going for judging in BCA or AACA shows, you should paint it with colors that suit you. John_S_in_Penna
The car, as people note, has been customized. It was also repainted from its original yellow-and-black color scheme. I understand he's had that car a long time. Here's a funny video (1985) from when the car was original.
JohnD1956
It used to be among my favorite colors! 😁

Fr. Buick
OK, just bragging, but Jay Leno once parked his Buick next to mine... I first saw Leno's Roadmaster when GM premiered it at SEMA in Las Vegas. Not a Nailhead, but amazing work. About 10 years ago, I took my 54 Super to the LA chapter "All GM" show. (Hats off to Steve Rostam who organizes it.) Half way through the show, Jay shows up with his 55 and parks next to my stock 54. I didn't take pictures, but I have friends to confirm the story.... He was low-key and friendly as always, but between the exhaust and the electric fans, he kicked up a mess of dust on my car! 1
