MaineDoc
Today was oil change day for the 64. The filter on the car was NAPA 1522 although the guys at NAPA said that 1049 was the one to use. I know that PF-7 was the old Delco number. So what are you guys using for the 425? Riviera63
PF 24 or PF 30 if using AC Delco.
EmTee
Wix 51258, which I believe is the same as Napa's 1258.
telriv
The CORRECT filter is the NAPA 1049.
RivNut
NAPA Gold filters are made by Wix. I've used these or the true Wix filters on everything. Which just depends on whether I'm closer to an O'Reilly's for the Wix, or a NAPA store when I'm out.

Yes, you're right - that's the one Napa calls for. 1049 is the long version, whereas 1258 is shorter; either will function for this application. If you have the space, use the 1049. The equivalent Purolator filter for the 1049 is #30005. Pep Boys here stocks the Purolator.

RivNut
You all need to read the website of Bob the Oil Guy. He tears them apart and does all sorts of testing to tell you which are the better and which one is the best. Sure, no more than we drive our vintage cars and as often as we change the oil, there's probably a good chance that any filter with any oil will fit the bill. If you're going to do some serious driving, then Bob the Oil guy has some information that you should read..
