Guest my3buicks
A friend of mine made a rare appearance with his 58 Special Convertible today at a massive cruise I was at with the Reatta. This is the first time I have even seen the car in 15 years. He has owned it since new, in has just under 32K miles on it and is mostly an untouched survivor.

NTX5467
AND in the upscale black/white/red color combination! It must have taken a great deal of restraint to NOT drive such a beautiful car all of those years, with it being "right there" to do so! Guest my3buicks
When he was my neighbor, I saw the car a few times, but even then it was rare. Oddly on the cul-de-sac we lived on there were my Buicks, his 58, a 76 LeSabre conv, and a 71 Skylark Cpe. There were four guys that had collector cars and we all had Buicks. Maybe even more odd was 3 of the guys had bought their cars new and my 67 my Granddad bought new and of course it was my first car, so it kind of fit the profile as well. NTX5467
Kind of neat how some of those things happen that way, Keith. Might make for some neighborhood cohesion and dynamics! Some years ago, a guy from Dallas was driving up I-35, headed north in his Imperial (60s or 70s car, I don't recall). Seemed that at every fuel stop he made (which were about 300 miles apart), there seemed to be somebody who had or had had an Imperial at some point in their lives. He got their names and decided to form an "I-35 Imperial Owners Club". I'm not sure how long that group lasted, but it seemed like a neat idea (to me, at the time). avgwarhawk
Super nice car. Plus, it is exactly as it came from the factory making it a great reference...if you get a chance to take a look and some notes!

dei
Beautiful example! Wish mine was half as nice as that..... but with the miles (and wear and tear) I have on mine, can sure attest to it's durability.
