Tomorrow afternoon will be the Tucker GA cruise. Monthly through the summer right on Main Street, last month they had about 80 cars. Always a good time, good music, great shops to grab a snack, or even going to the growler shop.

The Day started with about 50 cars at New Orleans City Park for Cars & Coffee, and with a dozen of New Orleans Finest Motorcycle Officers escorting us we left promptly at 9:00 , heading almost 3 miles out Esplanade Ave, turning right onto Royal Street - right through the heart of the FRENCH QUARTER, and on to the docks at MARDI GRAS WORLD where another 100++ cars antiques and rods awaited our noisy arrival - supporting COLLECTOR CAR APPRECIATION - and then were given free admission to the VICARI COLLECTOR CAR AUCTION.

Tomorrow we'll have a huge Cruise-In in Metairie at the Mellow Mushroom from 4:00 until 9:00 PM with participants given drink tickets, reserved parking, and a fine balcony from which to review the entire scene.

Susan and I put over 270 miles on our MGBGT yesterday. We did a backroads run with other club members up towards Richmond Va, did a gimmick rally/treasure hunt and ended up under some shade trees at a club members home in Ashland Va for BBQ and ice-cream. It was a delightful day. Came back via the Jamewtown Ferry and home by 8Pm. We certainly appreciate our collector cars!

Well, the big Cruise-In at the MELLOW MUSHROOM was a success - the parking lot was reserved for us and we had a great turn-out, including many folks whom we rarely see anymore --- wives too !! It seems that when food is included, it becomes a family-friendly event. Management at the MELLOW MUSHROOM provided their air-conditioned balcony as well as free soft drinks, lemonade, iced tea, water, etc, and also included a serving of their house beers and wines without charge. Their food was excellent, and I was so busy visiting with friends and selling AACA Museum/Library Raffle Tickets for the 2014 CAMARO that I didn't even get a chance to take any photos. We drove the 1970 Cadillac convertible - top down and A/C at full blast - what a way to enjoy summer in New Orleans - Rockin' Oldies on the radio, your best gal, a great car, great food, and lots of good friends. Even a 15 minute rain which caused me to sprint downstairs to close the top, could not dampen my spirits.

More fun at the Louisiana Superdome -

Fred and Debbie Duplechin (Lagniappe Chapter) brought their DeLorean and Avanti, and Dale and I brought the '54 Cadillac and our Packard for a Parade in the Dome.

Fred had yet to get up to 88 MPH, but was dressed for the part.

You may recognize the dance group "610 STOMPERS" who entertained for Superbowl when it was held here at the Dome.
