D Yaros
2 Suggestions:1 - Do a google search of the tube #2 - There is a guy on ebay that sells a lot of radio tubes. Might try to find and contact him? Sorry no details on that. I just recall seeing his listings.
Guest Old48Truck
Uh, D? There's no number on the tube....
Bhigdog
Often the # is VERY faint and the light must be just right to see it. But if it's gone it's gone....................Bob
R Walling
If I were you, I woulden't go to a lot of trouble to get an AM radio working only to find out why they went to FM.Ask me, I know.
Harold
Sometimes if you hold the tube to your face and exhale some 'fog' onto the glass it helps to see the number.
rocketraider
Rich- a guy down in the Olds forums may be able to help. I stickied his info since I figured someone would sooner or later need some info about tubes.
Pete O
Found this link that has schematics for old radios. It lists the radio model numbers:Nostalgia Air: United Motors Service - Delco
padgett
Could you post a picture of the radio showing the socket the tube came from ? Might want to send a PM since I am mostly on the Reatta forum.Quick look indicates if contemporary it might be a United Motors (pre-Delco) 2035. Schematic is in Rider vol III. Also are there five pins on the bottom or six ? I cannot tell from the photo. Joseph P. Indusi
It looks like everybody is on the right track here. This is an old tube, prior to use of octal base, probably has 5 pins, and looks to be an RF amplifier tube. Probably sits between two metal IF cans in the chassis. Can narrow down once we get the correct schematic for the radio.Joe, BCA 33493
