Guest feathercrafter
I just obtained many parts, mostly 1920s from an estate. Pistons, brake barts, mahogany interior panels, fuel rails, etc. The previous owner owned a 1926 Marmon. I am reasonably sure none of this is Marmon. Which forum would be appropriate to post pics for identification? Thanks.

Guest feathercrafter
OK Here we are for starters. The wooden interior parts are interesting. Looks to be mahogany. The window regulators and door parts are nothing I could ID. Any questions please feel free to ask. Thank you.

1937hd45
I'd like first refusal on that steering wheel, please. Looks like the wood trim from the back seat of some highend late 1920's automobile, no way of telling if every piece is from the same car. Please send me a PM about the steering wheel. sambarn
I agree the wood looks late 20's luxury car. The Delco Remy generator looks late thirties ( I Think??) the steering wheel looks early twenties/ late teens. The GAZ switch is probably off of a GAZ vehicle built by Ford and the USSR - It looks twenties/thirties. The window crank is odd, solid brass - no ornamentation of any kind and no sign of plating -too large and heavy to be brass era (pre-1915) and just bland late twenties early thirties - like it was a generic casting for replacement pot metal pieces. a neat collection with a bit better photos of whole pieces and assebled/arranged some folks could identify it but I would feel that by the eight cylinder distributor it is not from a 1926 Marmon. Marmon only made sixes until 1927. Good Luck
Dave Mellor NJ
That distributor looks like it might be 12 cyl
Guest feathercrafter
Great info. Anything that was definitely marmon I made sure went with the car which is going to a museum in st lewis. Giving back the guage cluster was a little tough. The distributor I think might be early 1930s caddy. I think the wheel is late 20s Mack Truck, (maybe). I would love to find the new home for the wood pieces, someone out there must be looking for those. I also have pistons, rods and rings, and many other parts which I will take pictures of tomorrow. Thank you all.
Johan Boltendal
The distributor is V-12 Cadillac production starting 1931

Friartuck
#393 is a window mechanism for a sedan. The use of bicycle chain and gears under spring tension was common. #399 maybe a window mechanism for either a division window or a rear window (partial blind) where the crank is offset and at a suitable height.
