Ben Bruce aka First Born
Do you suppose he really believes it is a 38? It is a 39 all the way. Even the tail lights. Still, it is a pretty nice example. Busch patch notwithstanding. Ben
Guest ZondaC12
Well I mean for perspective I've had buddies of mine go "DUDE I saw YOUR car the other day I swear it was the EXACT SAME CAR I couldn't believe it" *details are expounded upon* "Yeah I don't believe it either seeing as you clearly saw a '47 Olds
1939_Buick
Its not uncommon for people to take the year of tilte (manufacture) as the "year". and not the "model year" which started in Sept 1938 for 1939 BuicksThe VIN 13439187 is in the 1939 model year sequenceHas the small wiper transmissions, so consistent with an early production 1939 model year

Good to see your post, they're always enjoyable reads.I reckon he's got one of them GIRLFRIENDS!! no time for his old mates anymore. But I'll second that Mr Earl, good to see you're still around Paul - thought you may have shown some interest in the 1938 self shifter discussions? Guest xerxes
Looks like a great example of America's premium motorcar! The only problem I see is that the exhaust system is "Busched"....Most appropriate vehicle for SUICIDE DOORS!!!!!!!!
Mark Shaw
The mere suggestion that Paul has a girlfriend got me thinking. What would you do if Paul came calling for your daughter in his 38 Buick? I'd really struggle with how impressed I would be with a young guy driving that car.... and how big the back seat is...... Would struggle to get that IMHO Edited December 6, 2009 by 1939_buick spelling (see edit history)
