Guest cvhelleri
Please help. I just picked up a barn find 1950 Lincoln Cosmopolitan. It came with the original flat 8 337 which is the biggest flattie ive seen. My question is this.It came with original Edelbrock heads, the odometer only reads 4500 which the owner insists is legit and with the lack of wear on the pedals and the steering wheel, it looks to be true. Now I dont want to run with a flattie and the old owner says the heads are worth quite alot of money, ive done some investigation on them and found that they are rare and are worth good money, does anyone know if this is true and what they possibly could be worth.Thankssteve
oldwood
Does that mean your going to alter an original car???
old car fan
And it only has 4500 miles, that would be a travesty.
DLynskey
Get as much as you can for the heads. It will only be a fraction of the value you'll lose by destroying the authenticity of a unique and desirable "survivor".Don
Jim Rohn
what everyone is trying to say is don't touch the car or "part it out"If you are going to flip it, simply admit it and post a price
old car fan
If the price is right sell it to me i will not destroy the car.Why would you take history ,and try to alter it?
michel88
Please don't destroy a historical Lincoln with such low miles. Don't put a 350 Chevy in it. There is no reason the car can't be driven with the flathead V8 at highway speeds and I hope you will reconsider or sell it. Just my opinion. CarlLaFong
A friend had a Cosmo in high school. It would cruise effortlessly at 70 MPH all day long
