  1. Sure looks like it. Probably fastened with screws to the aluminum cross members. Jim
  2. I assume you are not going to the manufacturer for warranty service ? Then you need to find a good “ meat & potatoes “ welder to fabricate a sturdy means of attaching the ramp door to the frame. My primary welder is in the countryside near Iowa City, IA and primarily works on farm equipment. Jim
  3. So you intend to restore this ? If you do - what are your plans for the vehicle after restoration ? Jim
  4. To the OP Whether or not what you are considering buying can be imported depends on: Point of export Point of import You need the services of an import agent wherever you planning to take delivery of what you are buying. I specifically did not use the term “ vehicle “ because that may not be what you are considering buying. Jim
  5. Do you own or have access to a Smart phone ? Does the Seller own or have access to a Smart phone ? Have the Seller bring the vehicle to a well lit area with strong cell phone coverage. You position yourself in an area with strong cell service. Both of you clear your schedules and find a suitable time of day to have a live video call. Arrange to have an assistant for each of you to handle the phone to you both can communicate without fumbling with a phone. Easiest way to get live answers to your questions. Jim
  6. Tracking is not a deterrent. Tracking comes in to play after theft. Most trailers are usually stored where no one would notice or respond to an alarm. Disable - block - immobilize your trailer so it is not a target. That - is the best theft deterrent. Jim
  7. I spoke at length with the Grandson. The Family has no plans to display - to sell - or to donate the vehicle. Jim
  8. I received a call yesterday from the Grandson. The car is not available to be viewed - the tires have deteriorated - it is on rims and it needs to roll in and out of the storage box. The car will be kept on a shelf in storage and not sold. Jim
  9. Who is going to be attending The Florida Mecum Auction ? Are you selling or buying or both ? Jim
  10. I had time this morning and called the company and was able to speak with one of the Grandchildren. The company is now three generations of family ownership and most likely going to be four with luck. The car collection is private and has been reduced but they still have that car. It sits up on a shelf in a custom container that was used to transport it everywhere. The Family will never sell it but it might be possible to be seen by a car club or group with advance notice. I am waiting for a return call. Jim
  11. A Google search shows no museums but interested parties can contact the company: @ https://www.autodev.com/vibratory-parts-feeding-system-products?gbraid=0AAAAAD_i1RsgHwU0yLzX53bt2kIilQoN6&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI36S7nqHBgwMVNkx_AB3pWgSoEAAYASAAEgKEAPD_BwE Jim
  12. If you are concerned about vandalism or theft - don’t leave a vehicle unattended. Car clubs/groups/friends traveling together park their vehicles in groups and take turns guarding them so someone is always keeping an eye on things. If you are traveling alone then stay with your vehicle as much as possible. If you have to stay at a motel find an independent one off the major roadways and check in at least an hour before sunset. Get a room with a view of your truck & trailer and park in a manner that the vehicle you are trailering cannot be unloaded and your trailer cannot be separated from your tow vehicle. Disable your tow vehicle so it cannot be started. Stop Theft Before It Happens. Jim
  13. Having anything out for delivery for days is becoming more common for all domestic parcel delivery companies … I waited two weeks for an Amazon Prime delivery in Michigan recently. Their logistics system showed multiple delivery attempts - when in fact - no delivery attempts were ever actually made … If you are selling parts today - the best way to limit liability is to put in your advertising “ local pickup only”. If someone outside your area wants you to ship to them - only do it if they choose the shipper and pay for independent packing. You can recommend a prospective Buyer purchase insurance but that is up to them to do. Times have changed. The largest domestic parcel delivery service as of November 2023 now is Amazon - they are setting the benchmark for delivery timeframes and return policies and insurances claims - all of which are decreasing overall in customer satisfaction: @ https://www.mdm.com/news/featured/featured-blog/amazon-is-now-the-top-delivery-business-in-the-u-s-and-its-lead-is-set-to-expand/ Most Sellers cannot afford to take the hit when something they shipped arrives damaged or never shows up. Jim
  14. Who you “ gift “ to is your business. Reading thru your post - having everything taken away by the guy with the truck & camper was clearly supplying someone who cleared out your inventory for resale. If your desire is to “ gift “ directly to users then you probably need to make a few swap meet trips. Jim
  15. Exactly 👍 I posted about a specific auction that is coming up and what the fees were as stated by the auction company along with my personal observation attending a full day attending same auction company's sale in Las Vegas, Nevada. I expressed my opinion based on that - if others want to drift the thread that is their choice. Jim
  16. All the auction houses chase the vehicles that draw the Crowds (mostly online). Those cars do not represent the majority of what crosses the stage. As Ed pointed out - most vehicles get a few minutes at best - on the block and are sold “ off camera “. A few years ago I attended the Mecum Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Auction mid week - no video coverage for those not attending. There were three dealers in the pit - the average time was 90 seconds for a sale - vehicles were at “ no reserve “and bringing 35 cents on the dollar. When you factor in all the expenses as others have pointed out it is a net loss for most Sellers. Jim
  17. For those who are unaware of what the Seller fees are … Jim
  18. This Christmas I will be in Central Florida with some good friends …. I took this picture many years ago in Payson, Arizona. I took this picture a few years ago at the rest area outside of Las Cruces, New Mexico at Sunset. Merry Christmas Jim

Trey is being mentored in antique & classic car maintenance and restoration and repair. Trey almost died doing what he loves so dearly - he recently spent several weeks in the hospital and has a long road to recovery. Please Help Trey … Trey’s Go Fund Me Page Thank You Jim
