  1. Deal was made for the car. I refused to drive it down the hill. Stated several times the car has no brakes. Seller drove it down the hill to my trailer. Where purchase would be completed. Car never made it to my trailer. If the two people I was with decided to ride in the car. They most likely could have been killed. They are up there in age. The dent on the leading edge of the dash board was caused by the drivers head. As he was thrown onto the passenger floor board. He did have a big goose egg on his head. But no blood or injuries. Walked up the hill dazed. Crazy how that whole deal unfolded. You could see it coming before the car was even started.
  2. The car had nothing to do with me. A customer was going to buy it. Tried to talk him out of it. He agreed to buy it. And as you can see. The deal fell through driving down the road to the trailer.
  3. They are great cars, just a little tight. I solved that problem.
  4. The day it was delivered. 3/29/2009, Always got pushed in the corner for other projects. A lot has been done on it, sitting with a car cover on it. Waiting for a time to get back to work on it. Glad it never got finished, would have been sold and I never would have been able to use it for showing part of my business.
  5. Car ended up as an insurance claim. I did see it on Copart's website in Portland OR a couple of weeks later. Someone bought it for parts. Or a restoration project. It was totaled, about the only thing not busted up was the windshield frame/header. And convertible bows could be saved, maybe used to convert a Hollywood into a convertible? Someone knows the Paul Harvey rest of the story.
  6. 49 Hudson convertible went flying right off the road in front of my eyes. Had to be doing 35 mph at least. Took out a couple of trees as it flew through the air, very lucky no one was killed that day. Still can not believe that happened, crazy when you look back on it.
  7. I know a Duesenberg is a Duesenberg, At the top of the car food chain. But Packard's like that have to be right up there with them.
  8. I do like my courtesy car. 46-47 Hudson's had a great front end on them. I guess we are just waiting for Idaho.
  9. Have everything to make the truck look like this one as well. I could be happy driving this truck around.
  10. I had a couple of beers, made all the necessary calculations in my mind. Time will tell. Blending the two body styles together would be fun. It is listed for sale as a 41 Cad. I like all of the cars I have, Jaguar is the only one that is not for sale.
  11. That is the mighty Panzer. If covered in beef jerky, a person was in real danger entering the property. Best shop dog a guy could ask for, not a mean bone in his body. Always got a glass of beer off of every new keg in the shop. And he expected it. He has moved on, to a shop in the sky with fresh kegs every day.
  12. You can not hang your head in shame driving a Hornet club coupe around. They really are nice driving cars. Enjoyed driving my 49 daily.
  13. Might have kept that cowl from the sedan that gave up the roof.
  14. I like all of them, just don't need this many right now. Looking to move all of my stuff out of Idaho. Fewer cars means fewer trips. And a smaller location for the business. I have sold cars over the years that were harder to let go of, the 30 Packard roadster was a tough one to let go. Love that style of Packard. Would not bother me to keep the 41 Cad. who knows what could happen with extra parts and beer that needs drinking. Did Hudson make a fast back? Maybe someone will beat me to it. Lots of fun stuff to do with cars.
  15. Not sure on the source of the head light rings. They don’t look bad, might be Pacemaker. Will find a set of original ones, not in much of a hurry when the car just sits.
  16. Two more on the chopping block. Getting down to just two cars. Again will not be able to list them here. Both of these are mint, very rare, little old lady cars. Only driven to the orphanage on Sundays.🤨
  17. There are laws against locking your wife in the garage. Turning off the lights and walking away.
  18. Are you crazy! Post on here, you guys are a tough crowd. 😂 I can not throw out any BS sales pitch on here, none of you will believe me. One owner, ran when parked, all original, never rained on and always stored inside. 1947 Hudson truck. This is what happens when you buy a 52 Hornet coupe. Something has to go.
  19. I still have the wood stove I restored. It really puts out the heat. Would be cool to heat a shop with it.
