  1. Hey guys, This is a very interesting discussion. Here in Oak Ridge the fellows over at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Y-12 National Security Complex split the H (hydrogen atom) all the time and get enormous amounts of power. If they were able to do it back in the '40s, surely us high tech carport engineers should be able to do it in 2008. I say go for it... buy one those gadgets, install it and report back how it works. As far as worrying about the O2 sensor. It should be no problem at all. I see mechanics at the local drag strip, who have fuel injection systems on their cars, use alcohol as a fuel, inject nitrous oxide into it and pack it in with a turbo charger. Their cars seem to run fine.

  3. As Dave said, Welcome to the forum! You will find a lot of help here. Add the model (year) of your car to your profile/signature line. It makes it easier for us to help you when we know the model without having to ask each time.

  9. Steak, You say you would get '91 unit. Are you talking about a '91 Reatta unit or some other car? If not the Reatta, what car would you choose for the best fit?

  11. Thanks, I'm glad you like the website. I hope you use it often. It doesn't appear there are many people interested in using the website. I really thought it would be useful. Shows what I know. After receiving email from some of the members here who did not like it that I offered free ads and also paid ads, I have removed the paid ads and only offer free ads. Donations are accepted if anyone wishes to help support the website.

  13. Left hand threads on the tensioner bolt is correct.
  14. I believe it is left hand threads. I have changed mine but it has been a while.
  15. None of those codes would cause the poor engine performance that you describe in another thread....
  16. Jim, Thanks for pointing that out. It was an oversight on my part. I have corrected the problems. I noticed there was no place to explain engine problems so I added that as well. You can go back and modify the listing if you would like to describe the engine problem. You will see "modify ad" in the menu on the left after you have logged in. I moved your ad to the featured listing for better visibility.
  17. Curt and Mike, I hope you both get better. I hate to hear about such tragic accidents. Are you both saying a weak A arm caused both of the accidents? Would an A arm in new condition have prevented the accidents? I will certainly be looking at my A arms for damage. Thanks for the heads up. You guys may list as many of the remaining parts as you wish at my website listed below at not cost to you if it will help you out in selling them.

I've had a few people register on the site so far but only two listings. I hope more people start listing cars and parts soon to make the whole thing worth while. I encourage anyone with Reatta cars or parts for sale to put them on the website.
  20. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> ... so her water is a little cloudy yet. Her van was in for the free flush today.</div></div> Pardon me but I'm very confused about this device. What water is getting cloudy? And about the "free flush", is your car required to have a toilet installed before the device will work properly? Maybe Dave will know...
  21. Thanks for your comments. They are very much appreciated.
  22. I feel that the molding strip on the side of the car affects how your eye perceives the car. To me a contrasting stripe (black) carries the eye down the side of the car making the aspect ratio of the car seem longer and lower than a car that has a matching molding color. Long pin stripes that have a color that stands out has the same effect for me. I like the black molding on the Reatta to make it look longer and lower slung but I like cars like a '69 Camaro better with no contrasting moldings or stripes to give it a shorter (and taller) muscle car look. Just my opinion. Others will disagree I'm sure.
  23. Yesterday (Sat.), I saw a blue Reatta in Crossville, TN that had OHIO license plates. Was anyone who frequents this forum in Crossville?
  24. Thanks to everyone for all the nice comments about the site and thanks to the members here who have already registered at the website. I encourage everyone to use the website to list their cars and parts. Howard, I didn't know who originally came up with the checklist. However in my original post in this thread I did acknowledge that I had used the ideas I got from members of this forum. Thanks or not taking me to court.
  25. Your post is the first time I have heard of it. I will check it out.
