  1. Interested to know if the color on Mrs Marmons car in this link, http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=5058&aid=525 is the original color?
  2. Bob forwarded some photos to me, here are some of them. Bob advised re Photo 1 - 2 cylinder brush I used the crank and crankshaft - new light weight rods, valves and alloy pistons - the single engine flywheel fitted perfectly-<wbr>side draft Zenith and electronic ignition engine capacity 2-25 litres Photo 2 - me and my single cyl 2001 on run "Around Australia" crossing the Nullarbor Plain/Dese<wbr>rt Photo 3 - 2 cyl Brush I had to cast a new cylinder block as the original was badly cracked - we poured it in aluminium to lighten the weight you can see how well it fits And this photo of arriving at Martin Place in Sydney in April 2012 at the finish of the re-enactment of the 1912 Cross Australia Run. Reason I've included it? Because I'm in it! I'm at right of steering wheel, back to camera, with grey shirt(writing on back) and white cap taking photos of the cars as they arrived. Who Owns A Metz?

Don't own a Metz but was at the Garlits museum in 2012 and while there I took some pic's of a 1914 Metz. PS - I know a guy in New Zealand who has a Metz and when I'm there in 2014 for their Packard Rally I'll try to get some photos.
  7. G'day Billy, Don't know where you are in Oz, but closer to home here are a couple of clubs where you might have some luck. Willys Overland Club of Victoria wocv_aust@hotmail.com Willys Whippet Overland Knight Restorers (WWOKR) PO Box 217 St. Pauls NSW 2031
  8. Bob, Thanks for the advice, I have corrected my reference to make it a 1911 Brush!
  9. Or for just a radiator you might try Gerry - clink on the link below to take you to a For Sale thread on PackardInfo.com http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=13041&forum=8
  10. G'day Doc, The usual suspects - Steele Rubber, Kanters and Max Merritt should have these.

  12. "looks like the requisite panels have been found courtesy of a Packard parts and paint supplier" OOPS! It appears we'll have to keep looking. Parts are not yet "found", there was some confusion in mis-identification of the apparent prospective seller referred to above.
  13. G'day Dave, My understanding is that the 120 inner fender panels ARE different from the 160/180 panels. Not much, but they are different. From memory, measurements conducted on my 120 and friend Noels 160 panels, for which the panels are required, a few months ago showed the 160 panels to be slightly longer than the 120 panels as well as other small dimensional differences. Saying that, it looks like the requisite panels have been found courtesy of a Packard parts and paint supplier. And my description of "lower grill panel" should be better described as a "radiator splash guard".
  14. That sounds good packards42. We're also exploring other avenues but in case they don't deliver your parts cars check might turn into a great Christmas present!
  15. Wanted - '41 160 right inner fender panel and lower grill panel, see pic's. Don't worry about shipping to Oz, that can be taken care of, but will require shipping to a US address.
  16. "Theres a guy over on the Packard info site selling a whole bunch of stuff for Packards of your era including radiators" Here's a link to his ad - http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=13041&forum=8

  25. Jeff, Don't want to "taint" your Peerless thread but I'd be interested to see a pic of the Tom Mix Packard. So if you don't want to post it here PM or email(ozstatman AT gmail.com) would suffice.
