  1. The 61 Starfire had buckets and console standard. Not sure about 61 but later years had a 98 Sport Coupe option with buckets and console.
  2. QUOTE I don't think it is from a Falcon Knight though. The only Falcon Knight cap i know of, is in the exact same shape as the other Willys brands, Whippet, Overland, Willys Knight, and with the letters "FALCON" I am quite certain that we can rule that one out.
  3. My Dad was a milkman for Urbandale Farms Dairy in the 1930s in Delavan Wisconsin and had some interesting rides...
  4. Your results are the same that I have found in the past. I have found that Worthpoint is not a reliable source as they just repeat what the consigner says. I also have seen references to an "Oakland Bluebird" car model but never any reliable backup. I have a few of these caps but do not want to sell them without a legit ID.
  5. I have been trying to pin this one down for years, where did you find info? Is this a factory design or aftermarket?
  6. They said that was what they used as a model for their design.
  7. Very nice, always loved this style. When I was a teenager a guy down the street from me had one of these, same color, but conservatively hot rodded with a later CAD OHV V-8 and 4 speed hydramatic, dual exhaust and wider chrome wheels. Sounded great and it was FAST!
  8. After ordering on August 18, my Diamondback Classic tires arrived this past Tuesday. About a week longer than their estimate but not bad. I had them shipped directly to my local mom and pop tire store, brought the wheels in on Wednesday and had them mounted and balanced. They were packaged very well and heavily coated with the blue stuff. They mounted without issue and balanced out well with not much weight needed. I have a small list of stuff to do while the car is up in the air then I will wash them and get them on. They look great, the Auburn Premium uses a simple tread design and while they are radials they look more bias-like than what was on the car before. Interesting note - I ordered the same 225-75-R15 size that my old tires were but these new ones are much narrower in both section and tread width with the same diameter. The old ones bulged out greatly from the wheels where these appear the correct size, I like these much better.

  10. Nice basic Starfire. These cars have a LOT of diecast chrome trim, I would need to see more detailed pictures. Also looks like the leather seats have been redone in vinyl.
  11. Beautiful car! I have always wanted one of these - cannot understand why anyone would chop the top on a car like this...
  12. Wanted to thank you again for your response. Since I used to own a 34 Packard I went back through my photos and found this picture, you are right on! These handles are currently for sale on Ebay.
  13. When I built my first car, a 1955 Ford Victoria, a large amount of the parts needed came from the the Sears and Montgomery Ward catalogs: Rebuilt transmission, clutch kit, floor shifter, rebuilt starter and generator (12 volt conversion) and more. Another amount came from other catalogs - Warshawski's and J.C. Whitney. I lived in the Chicago suburbs and could go into the city and pick their stuff up at the Warshawski's store.
  14. Beautiful car. Major fuel system changes including aftermarket carb substitution, homebuilt air filters, deletion of dual firewall mounted vacuum pumps and, I assume, an added electric fuel pump. The original Johnson carbs included look pretty but probably replaced so the car can be driven.
