  1. Nice argument Ed, but the original post asked about most desirable "60s" Riviera... lol
  2. '65 Gran Sport. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
  3. The antenna on this '63 currently for sale on eBay is on the wrong fender. Can anybody shed any light on this or am I mistaken... Buick : Riviera Buick : Riviera | eBay
  4. Brian: I'm not sure about how difficult it is to find a good used set but they are being reproduced. Click here and scroll to the bottom of the page... GM Obsolete: Vintage GM Parts 888-567-8081
  5. Your signature doesn't indicate if you are a member of the ROA, but if you haven't already, please consider joining the Riviera Owners Association (ROA). You can find out more information about it here... www.rivowners.org In each bi-monthly issue of the club's magazine "The Riview," There are several "member's showcase" articles with photos and stories about different members and their cars. You have a great story that should be shared with other Riviera enthusiasts. Not all ROA members frequent these forums (in fact it's a fairly small percentage), so it would be great to see your story published in print for more of us to enjoy. Feel free to PM me (private message) and I can give you more details on how to join and/or submit a member's showcase article for publication in The Riview... Best,
  6. True, but don't forget that not all '64s had the KW code 425 Ed, 2,122 of the years production had the optional KX code 2X4 bbl. 425! My personal favorite!! ...Before GS - KX!
  7. Not mine, but a difficult car to find if you are interested in "rare." There are very few '84 turbos listed on the rivieraconvertible.com registry. This car is one of them though... 1984 Buick Riviera - Coupes - Facebook I'm interested in comments about the repaint color.
  8. Could not agree more with your comments John...
  9. Ditto. Happy Thanksgiving to all ROA forum members and their families...
  10. "Yet another reason not to buy a Prius..."
  11. Here is a link to a web site from Wisconsin Public Television that produced a documentary a few years ago titled "Fill'er Up - The Glory Days of Wisconsin Gas Stations." You can watch the video online or order a DVD and watch it on your TV if you prefer. Even though your Dad's probably not from Wisconsin, I'm sure he would enjoy it. Fill 'er Up Sorry he is struggling. I just lost my mother-in-law to Parkinson's disease, all I can say is Parkinson's sucks!! Best wishes to you and your family.
  12. Nice photos Dick, thanks for sharing. Your garage looks nice too!
  13. Wow! I don't even know what to say to that... I guess you have to drive 'round-the-clock to get that kind of mileage accumulated. If your clock was right, you were up late!
  14. Pete: While I was at the last ROA Meet in Branson I was hoping to buy a couple of the patches also. Ray Knott advised me that they were sold out, and that he did not expect they would reorder any because it took years to sell the ones they had. Evidently you and I are the only members that want one... If you can get one from Jim that will probably be your best bet.
  15. If it's a "factory" dual quad car it would have the finned aluminum valve covers... Also no mention of the KX engine code. Just that it's "numbers matching."
  16. Seems a little expensive to me Frank. Does it have leather or cloth interior? Sport steering wheels and digital dashes are also desirable in these cars (not sure if digital was available in '80). I would think $4k to $5k would be more realistic... (my .02 cents)
  17. Why is the motor blue? Too many red flags on this one for me...
  18. Susan is right. Check out the ROA (Riviera Owners Association) forum hosted on this AACA site and introduce yourself... Buick Riviera - Riviera Owners Association - AACA Forums You should also join the ROA. It will be the best $35 you can spend on your Riv. You'll find more about the ROA here... www.rivowners.org Best,
  19. Probably the nicest one you will find is being auctioned by Mecum in St. Charles on Friday... 1986 Buick Skyhawk Coupe Automatic for sale by Mecum Auction
  20. Another forum member - "ProSource" has advertised windshields for the first gen Rivs in the past. Here is a link to a recent thread in the ROA forum... http://forums.aaca.org/f177/fs-1963-65-riviera-usa-made-303868.html If you exhaust the other leads he may be able to help you...
  21. Great info Tom - thanks!
