  1. Thumbs down from me. That thing is a Frankenstein disaster .
  2. Now that is awesome! Thanks for sharing Slacker!!
  3. Very nice Kaber. It's nice to know that a high school senior would be interested in having his senior pictures taken with a classic Riviera. Bodes well for the future of our hobby. Hopefully, he'll get to take his prom date out in your car!
  4. Ed is correct, however the engine codes he references are for '63 and not '64. If it is an export car with the '64 401, the engine code would be "KT" not "JT." If it is a '64 425, the code would be "KW" and if it has a '64 425 2x4bbl. the code will be "KX"...
  5. I have had good luck finding replacement parts that I needed for my '98 from this eBay seller... http://stores.ebay.com/Deans-OEM-Finds-LLC/Buick-/_i.html?_fsub=5421528018&_sid=776430358&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322 Can't hurt to send him a message and see if he has what you need. Good luck.
  6. Love the skirts. The aftermarket exhaust... not so much.
  7. That's awesome. I don't subscribe but will have to pick up a copy of the issue. Darwin had this car at the ROA meet in Sacramento (may have had it at other meets also) and I looked it over pretty good. Terrific black/white color combination, full console, best year for the boat tail (I know I just opened up a can of worms there!), and a GS to boot. Great car and an equally great guy. Thanks for the post PRL...
  8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buick-Riviera-Base-1966-buick-riviera-custom-paint-26-iroc-wheels-425-nailhead-donk-old-school-/141066392363?forcerrptr=true&hash=item20d836532b&item=141066392363&pt=US_Cars_Trucks I know, I know, if it's your car you are free to do whatever you want to it... but please DO NOT do this to a Riviera! Turns my stomach.
  9. Welcome Z. I see you your car has the "optional" dealer-installed purse hook. Cool!
  10. Blue velour interior? Not for me. LXXV =
  11. No portholes on a Riviera. Period. IMHO
  12. Jason or Ed - Can you share the number who have registered to date?
  13. x2 Oldschoolgent's comments. Very well run for a first time event. No doubt this show will be a long-term success.
  14. Would make an awesome "lawn ornament"... Probably not for 2k though
  15. Definitely stop by and check it out. If you are a Riviera lover, you will never have a better opportunity to see a large number of Rivs together in one place. It is truly an awesome sight!
  16. Jayson - I think you're on the right track with replacing your emblems vs. trying to get them rechromed. I purchased an NOS set of '79-'85 fender and trunk emblems from this eBay seller... Cadillac, Lincoln items in rmdean44 store on eBay!. Couldn't hurt to send him an email to inquire if he has any more. Also, this eBay seller has nice (but expensive) NOS parts... originality_plus | eBay. I would shoot him an email as well and let him know what you need...
  17. Seems to me that current ROA board member/treasurer Bob Norton had one of these XX wheels for sale at one time. Not sure if he still has it. You can find his contact information here... Welcome to the Riviera Owners Association Homepage
  18. I participated in this event last year and had a great time. Very well run, beautiful setting, would definitely go back. If you are accepted go and enjoy yourself...
  19. I agree with RivNut, black w/white interior is awesome!
