  1. Mine would have to be "Animal House." The final scene has John Belushi (Bluto - future Senator) driving off with "Babs" in a '61 Electra 225 Convertible (or '62?). <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  2. You could check with Ken Reeves at Wheatbelt... www.wheatbeltbuick.com
  3. Pretty close, but they should have a center spinner like this one...
  4. Not mine, but looks like a nice set if you need green mats... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...tp%3D%26fvi%3D1
  5. Check out the attached thread from the BCA "general" site. Anybody know if these repros will fit any of our cars? http://forums.aaca.org/showflat.php?Cat=...;gonew=1#UNREAD
  6. Keep us posted on the repaint Dick. We all look forward to the pictures <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  7. Stevo is right. Here's the pic of toomuchvinyl's Riv...
  8. The attached link to a current eBay listing for a '70 GS has photos of a car that sold last fall from Nevada for over $20k. It is now being offered via email for a "buy it now" price of $5,500. This a SCAM! Be very very careful if you are interested in this car! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...p;rd=1&rd=1
  9. There is a guy in Illinois who has the repro's you're looking for. If you email me, I can forward you a copy of the .pdf file brochure he sent to me last year. His contact information is: Mitch Romanowski 322 W. Glade Rd. Palatine, IL 60067-6832 847-705-5761 mitchromanowski@sbcglobal.net I did not purchase anything from him, so I this is not an endorsement, but it's a start for you. Regards,
  10. Love that '84 T-Type Jayson! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  11. This past summer, Darwin Falk contributed some very interesting articles to the Riview titled "Options Not Included." They listed some production data on how many cars were produced in each color for a certain year, what percentage of cars had certain options, etc. Kudos to Darwin for finding and publishing this information <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />. I'd love to see more of this - wouldn't you? Does anyone know where this type of information can be found for the first generation cars and boat tails? Perhaps it is somewhere in the Riview archives, and I just don't realize it. I think that Darwin's "series" intends to cover these years in the future, but I'm the impatient type <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />, and would love to know some of this information now. Maybe more in the forthcoming Riview?
  12. Hey Kris: I like the before <span style="font-style: italic">and</span> the after <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />.
  13. My '73... Regal Black/White My '65... Champagne Mist/Saddle Show me yours! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  14. Dave: I'd agree with the general consensus of paint the car the color you like. I too would prefer to stick with a factory color offered for the year of your car, but again that is my preference. I don't think you'll hurt the value by sticking with a factory color. My two cents.
  15. Joe: You've probably seen this already, but in case you haven't - here's what appears to be a very nice '83 with low mileage on eBay. The "buy it now" price is almost too good to be true so be a bit skeptical, but if the mileage is accurate this appears to be a good buy... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1983-Buic...1QQcmdZViewItem <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  16. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Randy Rymal's membership in the ROA was terminated many years ago for false advertising and failure to make refunds. He has also been banned from Ebay for false advertising. He would advertise parts that were NOS, when in fact they were reproductions that could be purchased at another dealer for less money. Several ROA members have sued him and have judgements against him. Bob </div></div> Did not know this <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> - but definately good to know! Sticking with Riview and Bugle advertisers is the best advice!
  17. DarkRiver: A good resource is a guy in Michigan named Randy Rymals. He sells replacement wood kits on eBay, and also has his own website where he sells Riviera restoration parts. Here is the link to his wood kits on his website... http://www.rymalsrestorations.com/woodkits_buick.php You could also email him with any specific questions at: rymals@charter.net Good luck!
  18. She's a beauty! Can't help but love those two little letters ("GS" <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />) next to the <span style="font-style: italic">Riviera</span> script on the fender. It's always nice to see other members cars.
  19. Very nice to see your Riv. I'm partial to the '64s because that is my birth year <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />. I'd have to say my favorite color for '64 is Coral Mist. It's unique. Love your '59 flat top as well. Your fleet proves that you have good taste!
  20. gmcarguy: You've probably seen these already, but in case you haven't, here are two turnkey restored '65 GS cars for sale. Big big money, but beautiful Gran Sports... www.kruse.com/vehicles/detail.asp?auc_co...&PAGE=1 www.gmobsolete.com/mainpage.php?action=cars Good luck!
  21. My thanks to Ray, Ed & Sherry in addition to the board for taking this on. I am sorry things did not work out with Sean. I've enjoyed the ROA and am happy to see the new forum. Merry Christmas to all!
