Roger, I will need to get up to the car trailer and dig in the garage. I think that I still have some of that wood for that area. If I find it I will take some pix.
Do you have a tech 1 or 2 scanner? One of the things that might be bad is the crank shaft sensor behind the crank pulley. Without a crank signal, the injectors will not fire. With a scanner you should be able to see a crankshaft revolutions.
Cast iron can be welded by a competent welder. I have a guy that welded the water pump on my truck and it does not leak at all and that was a couple of years ago. If you need help, let me know since you are in Mich also.
The far right part in 6 and the parts in 8 look like window channels for the actuator arms in a more current car. Like at least 1960 and above. The rollers for the window actuators run in those. Do not recognize the year, but look like GM.
Are the cables new as for a car with a 12 volt system, or heavier for a 6 volt system? If for a new 12 volt car, they might not be big enough. Many times for a 6 volt system it takes cables the size of welding cables to be big enough.

WOW, That rivals a car that I saw a few years ago that had front disc brakes. The pads were totally gone and the rotor was worn down to the vents. No rotor surface left.
I was at my local dealer and they were telling me of persons that traded in the "clunker" under the program for the government dollars instead of taking the money from the used car dept which was more. Some people just want to get it from the man I guess??
