  1. I would put a gauge on the engine and see what the pressure is. It was not unusual for those engines to have less than 3 pounds pressure at idle. There was actually a low pressure switch that was used for engines that had low pressure to keep the light out at idle. There was (is) a high pressure oil pump available to fix this problem.
  2. It is a radiator badge for vehicles in the teens and early 20's
  3. Might this have been a taxi model exclusively?
  4. Steve, The water pump will take some waterpump packing which can be purchased from some auto parts stores or McMaster-Carr. You might want to try to dig out the old packing carefully because there should be room to put new packing in the gland. For the cork float on the carb, I agree with Mark Shaws fix of making a new float from cork if it is detorated and then seal the outside with super glue to keep the new fuels from soaking it. The big thing behind the water pump is the generator and also the starter in one unit.

  8. Also check the window tracks to be sure they are clean and the window goes up and down easily. If the window is binding it will break the tape.
  9. Michael, I will keep my eyes open also. Question, does your rims have the raised spacers around the inside? Larry
  10. Michael, I am also in need of an extra rim for a spare. I have put out an earlier request to no avail. It this what you are looking for also? http://forums.aaca.org/f119/wheel-rim-1915-buick-269750.html Larry
  11. I almost forgot to mention was that when the system was changed over to 134A they probably put the new style ports on the high and low pressure fittings. If so, that could be a problem, especially if someone else ever works on the system. The R12 system has the screw on connections and the R134a has the quick connect. They are made to be non compatible.
  12. The vacuum pump and left overnight should do the trick. If not, put in a new receiver dryer.
