Funny you should make a comment about the speakers. I recently had some work done on the Corvette and we got on the subject of radio reception / quality. The person that I was talking to said that the best improvement for the sound fidelity of an old radio is to not replace the radio, but to replace the speakers. I replaced all of the speakers and he was right.

I would disagree on the Old Car Festival being a Model A show. There is IMO, pretty good variety unless it is the marquis for the show like a few years ago it was on Model T's and they were running everywhere. Am I going to see you at the show?

Michigan allows 160,000 pound trucks on the roads. Want to know which roads are all torn up? The politicians say that with enough axles on a truck it does not matter because of the weight distribution. All in favor of that position, raise your hand.

I for one am 100% on the side of parking all of the era cars together. The best shows that we attend are at Greenfield Village / The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mi. In their shows they park all of the cars together by year. This is for both the Motor Muster on Fathers Day weekend and The Old Car Festival in September, with only one exception is the trucks and commercial vehicles are parked together because of the number of commercial vehicles. This is not the case with Buicks. This makes it easy for attendees to see the changes in vehicles over the years and compare different models and manufacturers. Also without being parked next to Dandy Dave Brennen and the Chartruse Lady in Flint I would not have become good friends with him and others with the similar era vehicles. We were able to trade experiences with our vehicles to have a better understanding in keeping them on the road and helping each other, etc. Mr Courson, your "Parking at National Meets - This issue should be addressed to the satisfaction of the membership" is a non position sitting on the fence with your wet finger in the air checking to see which way the wind is blowing. I will vote for nominees that state that they are in support of together parking at national meets only and will work to that end!

The front and rear fenders on the blue car look different. The front fenders look flat, but the rear fenders look to have a crown on them.

For factory built trucks the bed is inside the wheels, basically the width of the frame +-. The regular car fenders on the inside determine the bed width with the original placement of the fenders as if they were on a car.

If you have the bolts out, the hub/ centers should come apart. That is the way that I did for both my car and truck. (1917/1918 Buicks). The hub is probably being held by the wood spoke center area. If you are looking to replace the wood spokes and all, the easy way would be to just cut the old spokes with a saw and it should fall apart. If you need more info, let me know.

All cars from General Motors are sold through a dealer including sales to fleet accounts and rental car companies. The only two exceptions are direct sales to US Government and the American Red Cross. At least that is the way it used to be.

Could not find C16, but the number falls in the area of some type of windshield wiper option. The one other option could be that it was a sold to a rental car company as C1_ codes were for rental companies or port of entries. Cars "R" Stars show at the Historic Packard Proving Grounds in Michigan This year the Cars "R" Stars show at the Historic Packard Proving Grounds in Shelby Twp Michigan will feature commercial vehicles as the show theme. The show this year will be on Sunday June 8th, 2014 at the Packard Proving Grounds on Van Dyke Rd in Shelby Township, Michigan. I am working with the show organizers and we are looking for trucks and commercial vehicles from each decade that are representative of the decade from 1900 to 1960.
