  1. This was an article in Detroit in 1998. Some interesting points. I still love my TC's. http://info.detnews.com/joyrides/story/index.cfm?id=181
  2. Ah--that would be the "TC Special Reserve" white and red. I belive Hemi has a set of those.
  3. Hey Alan--you should take a picture of your TC wine. Make all the other west coasters jealous.
  4. Hey Inventorgtp----see the enclosed link. http://www.ststurbo.com/
  5. The twin turbo 3.0 mitsubishi motor has about 5% in common with the BASE single cam unit in the TC. The twin won't come close to fitting in a TC. It also required 4 wheel drive to come close to putting its power to the ground. One of the most dangerous cars to drive in history. Ask Rick Diogo sometime. Almost killed him and his mother. By the way--a tuneup on that motor-due every 50,000-was/is $2300. Takes 2 days labor and removal of the top end of the motor to get to the plugs. ENJOY
  6. Well.....if you really want to turn the TC into more of a fun to drive auto.....take out the lazyboys!!!!!! After taking the seats and motors out of my car I was shocked at the fact they weighed over 220lbs. The MOMO seats I replaced them with are 15lbs each. Also where your bottom sets is 10 inches lower than with the stock seats. Lets see---lower weight, lower center of gravity, equals weeeeeeee.
  7. Thank you Dot--for the info and all you do for the TC.
  8. Bill--I take it you have a stock engine software in your 2.2. Stock is 6 lbs of boost if EVERYTHING is perfect. The last dozen or so i've put a boost gage on-it's more like 4.5 to 5 lbs. I like my 16.5 psi of boost.
  9. I have a printout of most of the info that was on the "TC Pages". I hope to have most of it posted on my website soon. www.pentrident.com
  10. I get my remanufactured axles from Cardone in Philly. The part #'s for the V-6 are---- Front Left #60-3250 Front Right #60-3252 http://www.cardone.com/English/club/members/customer/ecat_brands/imageinfo.asp?PARTNUM=60-3252# http://www.cardone.com/English/club/members/customer/ecat_brands/imageinfo.asp?PARTNUM=60-3250#
  11. Hemi-Hope you and your wife are doing well. Being a diabetic for over 30 years- going through hundreds of eye surgeries- being blind for a few months 10 years ago- I know eye problems can be hard to cope with. As always your in our prayers. There are some new pictures at www.pentrident.com as well as a short video of the cars at Silver Springs. See if you can guess who is singing on the video.
  12. I would like to thank everyone who made this weekends event at Silver Springs in Ocala a GREAT event. We had 29 cars and 56 TC owners and family at the cars and critters get together. We had owners from MD,PA,IL,MI,TN,NC,VA,MS,GA,AL,and Florida. If I forgot anyone I'm sorry. A great time was had by most. New pictures have been posted on www.pentrident.com with more to come as members send us their photos.
  13. I once put a piston THROUGH the top end of a Datsun 510 1.6L in turn 4 at road atlanta.Tried to turn 7200rpm.BOOM. Put a nice hole in the hood. The piston and whats left of the rod is a paper weight on my desk.
  14. Alan...I like your thinking on the 2L vs. 2.2 or 2.5L. I've done some playing with autocross Saturn Sky Redline motors. If you notice--GM went to 2L on the Redline turbo motor vs 2.2L in the standard non-turbo Sky. Same block.Just like the Honda s2000 you have to keep the revs up.VERY F-1.
  15. So sorry to hear of your loss. I know how hard that is first hand.
  16. Welcome Joe. If you have any questions about anything with your T/C just drop me a note. You can find out about next weekends Florida T/C meet at my web site- www.pentrident.com . I live in the Disney area if I can be of help.---Tim Cowan
  17. Sniff sniff--what blue bottle in my trunk? It's not called "laughing gas" for nothing.
  18. Have fun Lou. We would love to see you and the new T/C in Ocala in 4 weeks.---Tim & Donna Cowan
  19. Why 2 10" subwolfers of course. When the Doobie Brothers get too loud...I'll be too old.
  20. Wow you travel more than Charles Kuralt. My wife and I were in Los Angeles last week. Saw no T/Cs. Did see holes in the roads as large as my smart car. I was told by locals no money for road repair. The only GREAT road was in malibu. Lots of money there. Had lunch with Alan near the Nixon library. There are a lot of great people in the T/C community--none better than Alan.
  21. Keep your car topped off with gas. These in tank pumps are cooled by the gas. If you always run at 1/4 of a tank or less--you can burn one up pretty quick.
  22. I've had 4 opossums take up residence in my garage so far this summer that I know of. $49 trap at Bass Pro Shop paid for it's self very quickly. Ready or not--here I come LA.
  23. Yes he showed the x brace. I would not take a car to Barrett-Jackson in this economy. I was at Palm Beach and will be at Las Vegas. Saw a lot of great cars selling for pennies on the dollar. Lots of cars--not a lot of buyers. I would never put such a specialized car at a no reserve auction.
