Lowest Mileage TC out there--only 2,000 miles?
cowancom replied to mensanguy's topic in Chrysler's TC by Maserati
If you get to Tokyo and go to the Toyota museum...next to the Cadillac Alante and the Buick Reatta you will see a 1990 triple black 16 valve TC with 48 miles on the clock. I helped a friend with Toyota at that time find and purchase that car from Kansas City Chrysler Plymouth. -
The last TC's sent to the US DID catch a ride on the GM Alante 747 cargo plane. They went to New Jersey and sat for 4 months or so. Most were used as Chrysler demo employee cars. In 1991 if you worked for Chrysler in management....you were going to drive a TC for a while. If you STILL worked for Chrysler in management in 2007 you WILL drive a Crossfire. History repeating itself. Total loss on the TC program....$11000 per car made. Total loss on the Crossfire program....$14500 per car AND Karmann out of business.

Yea pretty straight forward. Next time I would paint the inside of the reflector with a more reflective paint. The gray/silver that was used is just too dull. Maybe even wrap the inside with a mirror vinyl.

I did mine with LEDs in 2009. Sorry I did not take pictures. LEDs have come a long way since 2009. hope all is well with you. Still at Boeing?

I had a miller tool I purchased from San Diego Chrysler when they went out of business. When I got out of TC's I gave it to Rick Diogo in Wellington Florida. He then had 2 of them. I've included a link to Rick's web site. Good luck. http://rdiperformance.com/

Sorry....PS...came from a 1991 TC. So no side latches. But worked great on both my 1989 and 1990 Tc's

It is part of a gentleman's collection in the pacific northwest. A few years ago while driving to the TC nationals, he fell asleep at the wheel on the highway. We he woke up -he and the car were UNDER an 18 wheelers trailer at about 70 mph. He saved the car and got out from under the trailer. The A pillar and a few other scratches was the extant of the damage as I recall. It was repaired. I have seen the car and it is quite stunning.

I don't know where you live, but here in central Florida I have three places that rebuild fwd axles. The last I had done were $150 for the pair with a 3 year warranty. They looked brand new when they got done. Any mechanic worth his salt will know a local rebuilder. With all the FWD and 4WD's on the road-these rebuilders are out there. Look on line or yellow pages-you know that paper thing called a book-for a good local driveshaft shop.

Sue--so sorry to hear about your husband and your TC struggles. Any used car becomes a case of will/money/and lack of common sense against reality. I think the TC is in Pinellas County Florida.

does your TC have the origional fuel pump? If you don't know-have the fuel pressure checked at the fuel rail. Fuel pumps DON'T last 25 years.

Since you have to drop the gas tank--this is a GREAT time to replace your gas tank filler neck gromet. Almost all tanks I have dropped the gasket has been dry rotted and leaking for some time http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fuel-Gas-Tank-Filler-Neck-Grommet-Seal-for-Chrysler-Dodge-Plymouth-/370929879258?hash=item565d24c8da&vxp=mtr

Fuel pump that I have used ---link http://www.fwdperformance.com/Store/Product.asp?IDCatalog=7&ProductID=75

if it has the original fuel pump--I bet thats your problem. They don't last forever. Have the fuel pressure measured at the fuel rail.

Brake Pedal Sinks After a Few Seconds

I agree 100% with Hemi. Count me as one that converted my TC years ago. -
I was told there would be no math.
