Sorry 'bout that Bobalou, we seem to have gotten a little bit off thread now back to our regularly scheduled SPAM <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="960" height="750" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/JvDS-ffK1AU?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  4. of course it's not mine could be really somthin, replace all the chevy crap of course and I like the seller already, "all it needs is "restoratin" " 1956 buick limo
  5. I know what it is, I know what it is. But I'm not tellin, na na na na na
  6. Oh, thanks to Pete Philips, I already have my small body hard top and love it. And going to look at that Atlanta car made me appreciate mine even more. Unless I win the lottery and can afford to buy one each of all 1954 series, I think the only car left for me to ever consider would be if I could find Breeze. The little 48-D that started it all back in '71.
  7. THANK YOU my good man. Most of last nights round went to Australia and Norway. Not that I didn't expect it.
  8. NOT MINE ...this was relisted after not selling the first time. I typically don't post such for fear of spoiling someones bid but since there's no bids and it didn't sell previously I didn't want anyone that might be interested to miss it. and there's TWO of them I just know if it was 10 years older, I know where it would be. 1964 Buick Dealer Showroom banner - eBay (item 270704240459 end time Feb-16-11 10:01:58 PST)
  9. I have looked at this one. It has come down about $1400 in price in the last 2 months but in my opinion still has about $1200 to go. I think she just wants to get their money out of it and out of the yard. It's near Atlanta, not Chattanooga. 1954 Buick special

  12. I really don't know. I would think that an immaculately restored one could. $23k for such a rare car just surprised me. And they did describe it as a "nice car". If I was close I'd have to at least call and ask to take a look see.

  14. now THAT's funny. will need to remember that one:D
  15. and this IS a great thread idea JohnD. Or was... it will probably disintegrate now that my ugly mug shot is in it:rolleyes:
  16. uhhh, reread the thread subject line there Dano, you got it half right so far. Beautiful Electra btw. Now I guess I better put up or shut up. So here is Sweet Reet, me and Texas Pete (and Chesty Puller and Zoie the wonder dog)
  17. If this is truly what the ad says it is, it is one rare car. Seventy Years of Buick states that there were only 423 produced for domestic sales and another 120 for export. Jeff are you sure there wasn't 1 in front of that 23,000. I believe these are recognized as true Classics. edit> the production figures above are for a '39. Another source shows only 410 produced in '38
  18. looks like it's gone. Hope it found a good home.
  19. I talked to the seller of these three cars back before I bought the Texas Pete Special. Had he been closer we probably would have made a deal. But the cost of hauling three non running cars that far killed it for me. 1954 Buick Cars and Parts
  20. Noooowwwww, you got it. and hey, watch out for that garbage truck
  21. Bob, if you were layin in an alley and got ran over by a 54 and a 55 Buick, if you didn't pay close attention to how the front and rear bumpers mounted to the frame, you'd be at a loss to know which ran over you first, a 54 or 55. all that to say that the 55 still had the cool looking, great functioning knee shocks.
  22. Seems the virus is cleared. http://forums.aaca.org/f165/careful-when-surfing-bobs-site-right-295649.html#post848848 But I think I'll still use their catalog and call.
  23. that's a great shot of your dad and the car. Priceless. Does he still have those coveralls with the patches?
  24. I'll look them up tonight if no one else has responded. ps never got that "invitation"
