Sounds like a nice quiet weekend away!
-
Definitely get the Rapier charged up and out! I am sure Helen needs to get out of the house just for the change of scenery. Take her for ride to get a cup of coffee or ice cream or something!!!

Yes, you do need to be embarking on this! If not this, then what????? I am sure Helen doesn't need you underfoot, so get cracking!! 😁 -

A minor setback.....as long as it is not on top of you, you get a do-over. 😉 -

At times I really doubt my sanity, I am sure that no sensible 85 year old person would even contemplate doing any of the things that I manage to do. Don't doubt your sanity! Be proud of your abilities. If you don't do, then you won't be able. Keep on keepin' on! 😉 -

I keep forgetting that you are moving into the cold weather as we move into the warmer weather here in the States. Hope you have gotten the gearbox back in now and you are prepping for a drive with Helen! Wish you were closer Bernie, I would enjoy "putting my hand up" to come help you out. -

Well Bernie, it sounds like you need some Rapier Therapy. Put the gearbox back in and go drive it!! -
Hey Bernie!!! That actually looks like a car and not a pile of parts!! Can't wait to see what you are going to do with it. 👍
-
Dangit! Well, maybe that is a sign that you need to find that old project. Hopefully with loosened restrictions you can see if you can find it!!
-
Good Luck Bernie! I hope you get it!!

Roger's handcrafted 1:12 scale models
Frank Tate replied to Roger Zimmermann's topic in Our Cars & Restoration Projects
Roger, would it be possible to put two springs on either side of the center point where the arm pivot point is located and have a cam in the center? That way you wouldn't have any leakage of the fluid/paste problem. -
Hey Bernie, it isn't the car as much as it is you and the knowledge you have and the work you have done and shared with us. Thank you! Glad you are here! 😉

Sounds like you need to take Helen and jump in the Lagonda and head out to one of your favorite spots for the weekend and enjoy some good food, wine 🥂 and scenery. A little break from the daily mundane tasks. Recharge the emotional batteries.

Only because you posted so fast Bernie! lol!! KG is looking good. Tidy her up and keep driving. 👍

You can also try Facebook Marketplace. I have had some luck with selling things there. Good luck! -
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year to you and Helen from May and me!

Not sure where you are located, but Harbor Freight carries a couple of types of blast media. The glass bead worked well for me in my cabinet. -
Well, I just went out to the website, logged in with my email and password. Updated my address and selected the renew a US membership. Double checked my cart for the proper item and paid with Paypal. No problem. Maybe it was because I already had membership established, but the process is not convoluted at all.
