  1. A local car that I have never seen! Might have to find the owner and drive my T over to see it…..
  2. After living through 42 months and 41 pages of this recommissioning saga I am VERY happy for you Matt in that you are now on the road. You are restoration projects hero!
  3. I had my Model A Cabriolet for ten years, a wonderful car, easy to put the top up or down. Another benefit was, at 235 lbs. and 6”2 (at that time) I could easily get in and out from behind the wheel. The Cabriolet had more behind the wheel and leg room of any Model A I ever owned
  4. Here is a recent story in OCW on the history of the Highlander interior. https://www.oldcarsweekly.com/features/scotch-on-a-chrysler
  5. I received this meter and a Monkey Wards socket set from my Mother for my 16th birthday (1969). Has served me well over the years, including recently on my Chrysler. Good luck finding one😁
  6. Terry, everything was green back in the mid 70’s. Mrs P. and I got married in the mid 70’s, refrigerator, stove, blender, crock pot, electric knife…all avocado green. I even had an avocado green Plymouth Volare! BTW, there is a popular small camper made in Minnesota called Scamp. I had one for 14 years, always wanted to pull it with a Plymouth Scamp😂
  7. Something confuses me about this car…..I Facebook messaged the guy on it last fall and the son of the owner told me it was a six cyl. car. OK. Then months later it was marked sold on Facebook. OK. NOW, it is for sale by another son and only has one picture. BUT, I found it on Facebook for sale with five pictures and one shows an EIGHT cylinder engine. HUH???
  8. This is all I have for production numbers. No Monthly breakout.
  9. I drove this car and a ‘39 Ford (whichever one started and had gas!) to my first year of college…..my then girlfriend (now wife) called it “The Bump”.
  10. I have the codes for the ‘46-48 Chryslers but can’t place my fingers on them yet. I believe the paint code 5 is Polo Green and trim code 17 is green broadcloth. Code 3925 is the series C-39 (New Yorker) and 25 is the body style. Here is a picture of my body tag on my ‘48 NY’er…….paint code 2 is St. Clair Blue and Trim code 23 is the Highlander plaid.
  11. Looks like a home made oil checking device. I guess the Model T is still one of the most accessorized vehicles around. I am always tinkering around with mine, can’t just leave it stock!
  12. W2….. You are correct about those wood “bones” on this car. One must perform an extremely intense examination of the structure on the early Ford Sedans. This would be a fun car to putz with over time….BUT…..if one has only one Model T, that is enough to keep one busy. Ask me, I know😀😀
  13. This would never make the classifieds in my area, Model A pick up trucks seem to sell quickly by word of mouth🤫
