  1. The chassis manual has torque specs--you shouldn't need the service bulletins for general engine repair. John
  2. Try Waldron's or others who specialize in exhaust for NOS or NORS. I was able to find complete set of hangers for a 66 Riv several years ago. Or, if you still have your old ones you could restore them by drilling out the rivets and replacing the rubber which is usually rotted out. John

  6. Clean it up--no need to replace from what I see in the picture. John
  7. Eric, 66 and 67 dashpads are different. I have a nice one for a 66 but it is tan. PM me if you can use it. John
  8. Sent you a PM with info on possible source. John
  9. Looking for expandable hard cover binder to fit the larger pages used in the 50's Buick parts books. Pages are about 10" x 11-1/4" and the binder cover is about 11" x 12", and binder needs to expand to hold about 4" of pages. Anyone?? Thanks! John
  10. If you can post a clear picture of the similar piece from the other side along with dimensions it might help. John
  11. My $.02: First, have you put a meter or test light on the feed wire to the antenna switch? Could be a bad switch or antenna is the problem. Second, if no voltage feeding the switch, follow the feed wire back to the fuse block. Yes, the manual shows an in-line fuse between the switch and the fuse block so keep hunting. Whatever color wire feeds the switch is most likely the same color to the in-line fuse and all the way back to the fuse block so look there too and trace back the other direction if necessary. Third and last resort--run a new fused wire to the switch. John
  12. Hi Jim, I have a 63 Riv and I'm interested! John
  13. Champ-Items #205 Automatic Choke Control Heat Unit for 1955-58 Ford, Mercury, Lincoln and Thunderbird, new in box. The instruction sheet is dated 12-58, and looks like it replaces the existing heat tube connection to the automatic choke--maybe you Ford guys know why?? $15 includes mailed to US48. John
  14. "You wont find another car like this anywhere...." I sincerely hope this is true!
  15. "Roadhouse" with Patrick Swayze. Caution..not recommended if you own a 65 Riviera! John
  16. It's listed in 52 parts book as "Strip, Side Roof Rail Sealing" and it is for right side on 52 Super Riviera or Roadmaster Riviera, i.e. 2 door hardtops. John
  17. In the 60's I saw similar tools used at GM Assembly to pick up windshield and carry it to car to install. John
  18. Dick, it was found in a roundabout way... When I didn't find it in Buick parts books I checked Pontiac and found it in a 1961-62 book. Then went to a 1970 Pontiac book and found the new number listed for same applications. Then went back to Buick books and found the new number. Buick and the other divisions did a lot of number changes. In the earlier years each revision of the parts book included a supercedence and discontinued parts list. Later the info was included in the Price List book. In more recent years there was a GM Parts History book that covers parts changes for all divisions. You would need a major parts book collection to have complete coverage just for Buick! John
  19. If DeSoto and Edsel are orphans then so are Plymouth and Oldsmobile? John
  20. Replaced by or changed to #4876634. Windshield reveal molding clip used from 1960-64 various full size Buick models except convertibles--also Chev, Pontiac, Olds, Cadillac. John
  21. I think the ROA magazine "Riview" has had an articles on both ways. I don't have access to the mags now but someone here will. That looks like seam sealer added after it left the factory, but doesn't mean the core was replaced from the engine compartment. John
  22. I'm interested!--could you send me a PM with a phone number. Thanks! John
  23. December 79 parts book shows #17065888. July 87 book shows the same number and also references production #17061578. This is for Federal emissions. John
  24. Just checked the chassis manual and the original AFB carb is 3665S. If you don't have chassis and body manuals you might want to consider getting them--great references for maintenance and restoration. Can supply if you need--email for details. John
