1. I am looking for any info on 2 Autolite trumpet horns. They were represented to me as being from a 50's Dodge truck when I got them, but the previous owner also thought they were air horns (not!). Would like to know if they are 6V or 12V, and what vehicle(s) they were used on. The horn marked HT 4011 has an 18-1/2" long trumpet, 4-1/2" diameter at end of trumpet; HT 4012 has a 14" long trumpet, also 4-1/2" diameter at end. Both are about 5-1/2" diameter at the housing for the horn mechanism. Thanks!!
  2. Steve,
Left and Right are the same. Also same for 1964 Sportwagons, and possibly (not sure) Olds Vistacruiser wagons.
John

  8. Can anyone with older parts books give me the exact years/models these 1950-52 GM "Guide" taillamp assemblies fit: Group 2.679, part #927707, may have been superceded by #928892 which is handwritten on the box. The lens is marked "Guide R-40" on one side, and "Stimsonite" on the other side. Thanks!

The body of the resonator is about 5.5 inches diameter and 18 inches long.
The inlet is 2.5 inches long, and the outlet 12 inches long, with the first 6 inches straight, and the second 6 inches curved. Can't help with the center caps. Were you at Hershey PA meet a couple of years ago??
John Moore
1965 Wildcat Convertible

    Question

There is an ad in December Hemmings Motor News for one of these. Ad says it is 1 of 300 and that it was made by Hess and Eisenhardt for sale thru Buick dealers only. This car is in Florida, 66000 miles, asking $8800--same car??
  12. Boyd,
There were 2 number changes through 1956. My 1956 parts book shows supercedences ending up with the same number as in your 1966 book.
John
