1936 Pontiac three window coupe
Crusty Trucker replied to Hans1965's topic in "Not Mine" Automobiles For Sale
1836 Chevrolet Master 3-window coupe. It appears to have a rumble seat, hence the external spare. The Pontiac coupe has a conventional trunk and, I suppose the spare is inside, although there are no photos of it. The spare is not inside the passenger compartment. -
Should 25 year old cars really be called "Antiques"?

Well, I guess we we won't be seeing any "antique" electric cars (newer or older) since they really don't have crankshafts. Honda Insight and GM EV-1 -

Too bad car and truck bones don't contain DNA. Life would be a lot easier.

I'd be hard pressed to find a car, any car, anywhere, that wouldn't look nice compared to that Ferrari !

"Not Mine" for high rollers only?
Crusty Trucker replied to 7th Son's topic in "Not Mine" Automobiles For Sale
Sorry, but in my neck of the woods, $1,500 has become the new $15,000. What I used to sell for around $2000 in past years, people are asking many multiples for today. Unless you are thinking of brass or really early cars, which I don't follow, I don't see much in the way of deflation - despite the aging and thinning of current owners. '60's through '80's appear strong, followed by '40's and then '30's. Most '90's have not reached their peak and many of them may be of little interest to collectors anyway. I admit high-buck car prices of the recent past - not including the ridiculous auction offerings that the elite play with - may be in decline, but so has disposable income for most of us in the 99% as living expenses climb. -

Hey, Dave, there's a section of the forum for old photographs called "Photos and Videos" and would be a much better place for this and similar contributions. Thanks for your posts, but I think they'd get more attention posted in the right forum section.

Unless you have some sentimental reason to want this Plymouth, I can't see that most people who want to drive an older car would be attracted to a drab, low powered 4-door sedan. I'm sure a brighter color would have attracted more interest despite it's mundane appearance, not that the owner would do any changes. Ho-hum cars usually go to ho-hum buyers or the price is reduced to the point some flipper is attracted and thinks there's a profit to be made. Maybe this is a flip from a $1500 estate sale.

Is this interesting enameled badge automotive?
Crusty Trucker replied to lump's topic in What is it?
A similar one is listed on the etsy auction site. No details - just says "British". Probably fell off some fancy dude at a polo match or fox hunt. Big bucks - $18.00 + $6.50 shipping. https://www.etsy.com/listing/954307034/british-badge-medal-crest-vintage-1980s -
Does not appear to be automotive. Did your relative have any portable industrial or agricultural equipment or trailers? Might check behind the barn. Could be a local retailer's logo since it is a stick on label. Golf cart, ATV?
