  1. 1941 CADILLAC LIMOSINE (sic)- $100,000 (SUNSET CLIFFS CA) https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/d/san-diego-1941-cadillac-limosine/7444994959.html# THIS IS AN AMAZING CAR AND IN ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL CONDITION. SUPER CLEAN INSIDE, OUTSIDE AND UNDER THE HOOD...SHE RUNS AND DRIVES VERY SMOOTH.EVERYTHING IS WORKING IN THE CAR.ONLY 6853 ORIGINAL MILES.THIS IS A VERY RARE CAR AND AS CLASSY AS CARS GET.FOR INFORMATION CALL: (619) 961-8676 (The buyer obviously needs no further information or pictures from this spelling-challenged seller, lol. Just bring money and drive home happy.) 😆 Looks like it could be a 7-passenger sedan, not a limo.
  2. 1948 Crosley Coup Rare Bird - $9,900 (Vista) https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/d/vista-1948-crosley-coup-rare-bird/7444186861.html contact name: Chris Estep call or text: (760) 672-0127 offering for sale or Trade: 1948 Crosley Coupe aka Micro Car aka Chic MagnetVehicle has 15K actual miles and a clean title. Low price4 passenger car.It starts and drives but tiny scarey car,New tires. Needs brakes checked, pulls to the left..lolI found a place in Nevada that ships out parts for this little yellow bird: www.servicemotors.netBody at some point in time was repainted,The way you see it was the way I bought it.There were a small amount of these cars produced, and there are hardly any left.Stick shift transmission and it has no power steering but it steers very easily because it's a light little clown car.Heater blows hotThe radio in the vehicle is original. Either I don't know how to turn it on, or it doesn't work.Lights work on the vehicle. It's very drivable, but also remember it's 74 years old.Brakes need attention, small hole bottom fuel tank needs to be fixed.Doesn't shift all that smooth, maybe just an adjustment.Sliding windows in both driver and passenger doors, which is very unique. At one time purchased from a collector that had 15 of them.Mechanically, it needs the cable replaced to pop the hood open, an easy fix, not much more than a cable from a lawnmower, and the gentleman told me that the carburetor needs to be cleaned out, even though it starts and runs fine. It comes with a part book, even though you may be able to get a lot of parts on eBay that you may need in the future. It was in a couple car shows (1982 and 1983), and it comes with the plaques. This car spent more time sitting than being driven, but if you want to buy this & drive it to car shows next year, you'll have a really cool car that you should have no trouble finding a parking spot for!All Trades considered.I LOVE OLD VEHICLES...It runs but not that safe on the road till brakes delt with.AS IS and price will go up if I start fixing little things on it.

Very dependable. I've had this car for 17 years and driven it multiple times to car events in Santa Cruz, Visalia, and Lake Arrowhead. It has the stock Plymouth six with a three speed stick shift with period correct overdrive. It can cruise at 70 MPH all day long with the overdrive. Never overheats. Burns no oil. $35,000 or possible trade for a decent 32 Ford hi-boy roadster. Most of the wood is original. 90 % of the upholstery is original. It's a survivor that's been on the road without a break since new. Here's a great article from Hemmings about the 49 Plymouth wagon: https://www.hemmings.com/stories/article/the-great-new-plymouth-1949-plymouth-special-deluxeIf you read the article, you'll see that this car is very reasonably priced.
  7. Good thing they weren't snakes...I'd be dead!
  8. That looks really great! I presume you still have to install the protective (glass) overlay to keep the letters from rubbing off. I looked up the websites you listed and am anxious to get started. Thanks for all the information. I hope the rest of your project is as successful. Post some pictures along the way.
  9. How many of us old ----- (fill in the blanks) still wear a wrist watch? How many of us still wear a wrist watch and also carry a cell phone? How long have you had your cell phone and still wear a watch? How long did it take you to realize the watch was redundant and put it aside after getting your cell phone? Do you wear both a belt and suspenders? ...sock or sleeve garters? 🦕 😁 Be honest, now...
  10. Can the "average" grade school kid even spell "geography" (without a computer spell-checker), much less study it? Some don't even know there is a state of Washington, much less where it is. If it weren't for zip codes, God only knows what might happen to most of our snail-mail.
  11. On the photo of the letter sheet you posted, it appears that the words have been printed in press-type - not just letters in alphabetic order that must be applied individually. If that is the case, can you share the name of the vendor who does this? Do they offer a variety of fonts, colors and type sizes? This could come in handy for future projects. Your reply will be appreciated.
  12. I didn't know that anyone might be interested in old IHC pickups. All they want around here are Fords and Chevys. The local junk yard has a couple out back, but nobody even wants parts. Someone should save them from the crusher.
  13. I am having trouble locating chrome strips on the front of this Nash that appear to be 16 5/8 inches long with a slight taper and relatively flat, and with both ends finished. I was not aware that Autolite made chrome parts for Nash. Can you please enlighten me?
  14. My house is in Washington and the White House is in Washington, but we are three thousand miles apart.
  15. NPR Station Sabotages Mazda Infotainment Systems It’s not clear just how listening to a radio station can ruin, crash, or freeze a car’s infotainment system. We’ve never heard of such a thing, but we guess it’s possible. Some say it might have something to do with how the song and artist information is coded for HD radio so it displays on the infotainment screen. And this just highlights yet again why we love the beautiful simplicity of classic cars. Reportedly, a Mazda dealer in the area blamed the problem on the launch of 5G. We covered how with 5G coming into use 3G networks are being shut down, rendering some car features entirely useless, but it’s not clear if that’s what has bricked these Mazda infotainment systems. 16. Blame the media for the geographical error. The original post also listed the stolen Cutlass as a Buick Oldsmobile! I searched for the article and Yahoo has corrected the headline, but still calls the Cutlass a Buick Oldsmobile. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/10-classic-collector-cars-stolen-211500747.html
  17. Check out V8buick.com. They talk ONLY Buick, stock, modified, performance, parts, etc. Experts contribute to a similar ask/answer forum.
  18. I have used those press-on letters for presentations on paper and art-board stock and they do a fine job as long as you line them up carefully. I have found them very fragile once they are applied and are damaged easily. A protective coating should be used in areas of high use. Possibly a spray "fix" available at art stores would seal the surface from wear or there might be a cleat enamel or clear finger nail polish that wouldn't eat the letters like lacquer will. Make sure you do a test sample and don't experiment with your project piece. Good luck.
  19. The letters on my original dash are printed (flat, not raised) and are sandwiched (laminated?) between a clear top layer of plastic and a solid color bottom layer, then glued to the metal instrument panel. Since the area won't be subject to hard use, I can get by with a surface screen print on a similarly colored background. Cutting the material to fit the knobs and switches and having it look and fit as original will be the challenge. The old, original pieces are weathered, warped and faded. None the less, I appreciate your input.
