  1. Give them to a young person that is excited and learning the hobby. An older friend gave me a large stack of old issues and after I had gone thru them I looked for an opportunity to pass them on. A man and his 15 year old son came to buy some model A parts from me. The boy was super excited about old cars and I knew I found the right recipient for them. He was thrilled to get them.
  2. Yes, we'd all be interested in seeing a good story about your trip Billy!
  3. Yes, you can file a claim thru PayPal unless you sent the money "friends and family". If you did that then I don't think you have any recourse.
  4. I have four each of std., .020", .030", and .040" left. All full sets are sold. What's left is $125/box of four shipped in the US.
  5. As many clubs/organizations have "loosened the rules" to include later models, their shows have become "watered down" by all of the Mustangs, Corvettes, etc., as someone mentioned above. I appreciate the effort put into planning this show and wish I could have attended. Hopefully someone will post more photos!
  6. I got my driver's license in 1979 and I wanted one of those trucks BAD! I still like them a lot.
  7. It was either a S-K socket set or a bottle opener, I can't remember which. 🤪
  8. Stopped by a small local show this morning and took photos of a few interesting vehicles. A 1931 Chrysler Six Phaeton, an early Chevy Flatbed, a 1978 Dodge Lil' red Express and my favorite, a 1938 Studebaker Coupe Express.
  9. I have a few new clues. On the back of one of the steering wheels spokes is cast "SHELLER". On the box itself are the numbers 542985 and 545998. Gearbox cover is busted.
  10. I thought the same thing Bob. I've owned several pickups with FE engines and I always struggled to get better than low teens. My '42 pickup with 428 got about 8. A carburetor expert probably knows some tricks that the rest of us don't!
  11. For those that are concerned about mileage, fuel prices and pollution, there is an answer.................🙄
  12. Wow! That was fast! Thank you. I'll do some cleanup and see if I can find any numbers on the box.
  13. I have no clue on this one. Again, a good cleanup of the grease and dirt may expose some markings. Very long column drop/support.
  14. Seems like this might be Chrysler but not sure. I'd need to clean up real good to see if there's any markings.
  15. Apparently this was the precursor to the Dagmar? Do you know if any examples exist?
  16. And let's not forget the Pope-Tribune. I find the Pope Manufacturing Company quite convoluted what with the Pope-Hartford, Pope Robinson, Pope-Toledo, Pope-Tribune and Pope-Waverly all part of the same company. Pope-Tribune manufactured in Hagerstown.
  17. FREE Ice water! I remember all the billboards heading west.
  18. We visited Mount Rushmore back in 2016 and was very impressed as well. They have a night program after dark that was worth the time to do as well. Will you catch the Pioneer Auto Museum in Murdo?
