  1. Quite a project. Of course you'd be soon upside down if you paid to have any of the work done, and probably even doing it yourself, but a lot of us feel the fun is in the working on, rather than the driving.
  2. Here's a link to the new ad: https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/d/spring-valley-1948-packard/7615220150.html email: 5bc5dc948718325883d6dd1b67f180b8@sale.craigslist.org
  3. Very high price but it does look like a nice car. I wonder if the carburetor comes with it? https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/d/huntington-beach-1951-desoto-delux/7615331331.html 51 Desoto Delux 90 percent restored includes rebuilt motor and trans upgraded to 12 volt complete rewire new gas tank radiator new brakes and shocks, interior redone. 4. I don't know about the price but '33 is in my opinion the most beautiful, and rarely seen. More text and pics in ad... https://boise.craigslist.org/cto/d/boise-1933-ford-deluxe-phaeton-model-40/7612703709.html This car originally came from California in 2013 and it was partially restored back in the 80’s. Most of the paint is fresh. Dark maroon on the body with black fenders and red pinstriping. The pristine 1933 grille, the windshield frame, headlights all have fresh chrome and polish. This is an older restoration that I invested 10 years, many upgrades and time into. It came with the LaBaron Bonney leather interior shown. The front seat bottom was damaged, so it was replaced with close matching vinyl.I have over $50,000+ in this car and upgrades include…1940 hydraulic brakes, comes with 2 sets of wheels shown. The 16” black powder coated wire wheels (on car) with radial tires and the original 17” red painted wheels with the Firestone wide whitewalls (Picture). It has modern tube shocks in the rear and the front spring has been lowered slightly to give it the sleek raked look. Also, rear tires are larger that front tires, enhancing the rake. The radiator is pressurized, preventing overflow. It has an electric fuel pump and still has the 6-volt system with generator. Engine is the stock 221 Cubic Inch Henty Ford flathead that produces 75HP. It starts and runs excellent. It has the desirable Greyhound radiator cap. It has dual horns. It has a chrome crank cover on the grille. The shifter and brake handles were chromed. Rare, with only 1,483 deluxe phaetons produced in 1933. (208) 345-1400
  5. 6. 7. If Ed says it it's probably true and that means it might be a good place to buy one!
  8. A wonderful example of early 60's creative engineering! Not just the engine but the transaxle and the connecting "Rope Drive", all wrapped in a nicely styled package.
  9. Yes! I should have also added you have to do it in a way that recognizes they are in charge of this transaction and not you.
  10. Needs everything but might be a "drive as you restore with some work". In the same family for a LONG time. https://goldcountry.craigslist.org/cto/d/grass-valley-1946-cadillac/7613639597.html all original, been sitting in the garage on non-opt since 1996 with the hopes of working on some day. I have concluded that those days are gone and it's time to let it go. The motor ran when it was parked. I have extra parts, it isn't in pristine condition, it has many flaws, this is why it's a project. It needs lots of love and someone with more time and not in their 80's to sit and dream about that "someday", anyway, if you have any questions, I am having my family friend show it and answer as many questions as he can without me, so please don't bother with offers without looking, don't ask for a code to verify if Im a real person, just pick up the phone and call, I'll tell you I'm real! The price is $6500 obo, no emails, only phone calls please. Unsure of the mileage, it was my dads before I got it, and he bought it in the 60's
  11. This has been for sale for quite a few months. I do like that Riley F head conversion.
  12. One more tip: don't expect the clerk at the DMV to know this stuff. Bring notes so you can cite chapter and verse of the Vehicle Code to them.
  13. Looks like a lot of fun and think how easy it would be to find in the Home Depot parking lot! https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/d/glendale-1923-fire-truck-for-sale-very/7614467671.html We have pictures and documents of how it was restored, where it came from. I bought it 2 years ago but due to our parking situation now I have decided to sell it. The Firetruck does not run, it ran 2 years ago, I decided to restore it so I took off 2 hoses and drained the oil but unfortunately never got to restoring it. So technically if you add oil, and put the hoses back it’ll run. It was mixing oil and water so i wanted to fix that before running it again. (818) 378-9656
  14. Good entry level project! https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/sacramento-1947-frazer-old-car/7614162742.html 1947 Frazer, 4 door car, flathead 6 cylinder, manual transmission. Older amateur restoration needing TLC. Needs brake work, engine runs good, on a paid non-op. $5000 firm. Please call or text Roy with any questions. 91six- 599-011four. NO EMAILS!!!
  15. Great to see that it's currently licensed and on the road. More pics in ad... https://goldcountry.craigslist.org/cto/d/cedar-ridge-1938-buick-special-gray/7614442101.html Selling for a client $12,000. Road Ready. Running.8 cylinder. 1938 Buick Special.Pristine condition inside and out. Completely stock. email: ca4260e318db3ffabde32593da227b20@sale.craigslist.org
  16. I looked at a '28 Chrysler roadster that had a similar seat set up. I guess it might have been modified as well, but cars of the period usually had far more head room than we expect today so it hard to see a reason. Made me think of English sports cars from the 50's (Austin Healy and Triumph TR3).
  17. Price is on the high side, but not many cars would look this good in yellow! It appears to have a '28 engine which is a big horse power bump (38-Whoa Nellie!) https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/rocklin-1926-chevy-roadster/7614017328.html 1926 Chevrolet Roadster w/extras $12,900My dad found this car in Marysville (A California Car!) in the 80's, bought it and then and restored it because it waslike the one he drove when he was young. He took it down to the bones and did a complete rebuild, but he didn't want to paint it the original green so he chose yellow to make it stand out. The odometer shows 1,314 but the actual mileage is unknown. It passed on to me when he died in 1991 and has been on my property stored in agarage since then. I have started it regularly and driven it a few times on the private road that leads to our house. He didn't restore the soft top, but it has all the parts. It also has an extra engine block in the trunk that he alsorebuilt. email: b1f3df01e9433013a8c190f1b6ef9284@sale.craigslist.org
  18. You see Model A's done this way, and they look terrible, but on a T it's good!
  19. Sorry...it just came on CL so I didn't think to search the forum.
  20. I would think this is "all the money" for one of these but it appears to be an excellent example. I know they have an active club in my area.
  21. This has been for sale for a while but searching this forum didn't show it. Looks like a nice example with a good price. More pics in ad... https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/d/madison-1927-nash-special-six-series-231/7610745733.html 1927 nash special six series 231 original owners manual book number 35 runs great 2 door coupe all original 1 restoration always stored inside you will not find one this nice just drove today runs and stops great.clean title can send more pics via text time to retire or else would not sell call chuck six o eight six nine eight four nine nine two calls only if no answer please leave a msg and i will call you back as soon as possible thanks no disappointments
  22. And then they wonder why people don't enjoy 'The dealer experience".
  23. As a former glass shop owner and later executive with Pilkington (formerly known as LOF) this is just nuts! There is NO non-compliant replacement glass. The worst quality foreign replacement glass is still safety. It's a law without a reason. I'd also say I certainly would never stamp a piece of glass as safety glass that I wasn't sure was safety glass. Unfortunately, situations like that are why God made lawyers....
  24. The appraiser didn't do this seller any favors...Chevys in the Model A period typically go for a bit less than the equivalent Ford, which would make this about 12-15K on a good day. https://redding.craigslist.org/cto/d/redding-1929-chevrolet-international-c/7612749018.html This vehicle starts right up every time. Has original 6 volt battery system. All 4 windows roll down. Interior is clean. Paint has some chips and water spots. No upgrades still stock. This vehicle is almost 100 years old and probably wont find one this complete. In auctions sell for 19k+ was professional appraised a few years ago at 21k. Make a reasonable offer. Willing to trade for 4 door Jeep Wrangler or a boat (530) 410-4269
