  1. http://www.theserviceco.net/index.php/repair/1-1-4-to-3 $135.00, Looks like you can buy rebuilt cylinders by exchange, send in your old as a core. http://www.blackhawkparts.com/lincoln-walker-kits.html Or save a little money and buy a kit to do it yourself.
  2. I have sold a few things on eBay and have not had a problem thus far. I know it's just the law of averages. If I sold lots more I'd be bound to get some sort of complaints or disputes. Many buyers leave me no feedback. I still have 100%. The ones that leave none neither help nor hurt you. I also maintain a blocked bidder list. Once i was selling a front grill with a small ding in it. Took a good close-up of the ding and disclosed it. Had a potential bidder ask me if I guaranteed he'd be able to get the ding out by carefully pushing it from the back side. I said sure and put him on the blocked bidder list. There is once I got ripped off as a buyer. It was back when they still allowed sellers to say they only took money orders. I sent the money order and received nothing and had no recourse. Now they don't allow listings that say only payment by money order. As far as the OP's original question, I don't even remember what it was. He already had the cash in hand, and was concerned about shipping overseas because the buyer might claim they did not get it, or that it was not as advertised and want a refund?
  3. It is possible for a buyer to claim they didn't get it, when in fact they did, and get refunded. That could be with uninsured delivery without tracking. Also, I think we also heard about a seller letting the buyer pick it up in person. The the buyer (fraud) claims it was "not received" and since there is no tracked package they get refunded.

  6. I would want the Buick for sure, but I assume it's cheaper given it needs paint, interior and who knows what else. This '28 was for sale in my local area a year ago, I think it was priced at a little over $5k, not running. Hauling passengers (family), luggage, overnight trips, even camping excursions make the bigger vehicle the choice.
  7. Thank you for doing all that research. I suppose it may mean Continental can be eliminated? You are fixing the year of the vehicle to be 1920 or are you saying it is in the range of the early 1920's?
  8. 1002243 maybe. The 4 looks faint, but the pair of 2's look fairly clear.

  10. Carburetor on the right side and 4 exhaust ports on the left.
  11. Here's a picture of another 1907 Duer taken from another AACA thread here, under pre-WWII Photos. It was probably taken in 1914 in Chicago but vehicle is 1907. Just copied it here because I came across it and it's a nice photo, and the same make.
  12. The photo at the very top of this thread is the same one that is on the back of the magazine, Antique Automobile, 1971, VOL.35 NO 6, in case anyone has it.

  14. 1918 Moon 6-36 Series specifications - http://classiccardatabase.com/specs.php?series=2825&year=1918&model=13835 Wheelbase 114 inches, Rear Semi-elliptic leaf springs
  15. So that is the Continental 6V Head gasket. Are we declaring that to be a match? Vintage Head Gaskets link - http://shop.obsoleteautova.com/Head-Gaskets_c15.htm?page=all
  16. That looks to be more than 1.5 inches wide. Where are you measuring?
  17. Get a non-running Sea Doo Jet ski with a Bambardier 2 cylinder engine for a cheap price. You can take the engine out, get it running, and sell it separately for a profit and scrap the jet ski. I think those engines are also used in snowmobiles and maybe ATV's. They are well made. Maybe you could make a high performance riding mower or go-cart using one. Here's what a Rotax - Bombardier engine sounds like, it is a 2-stroke.
  18. That individual has a ton of such items for sale. Name used is "nosclassicparts" for NOS -classic parts, but it should be "neoclassicparts" for neo or new classic parts. Rare, rare, rare items, until you buy some and they make more.
  19. Here's the link where that picture came from btw Continental from 1925 Moon
  20. It could even be that all 4 of those ports are inlets and only the two outer ones are exhaust. Also I saw a pic of a 4 cylinder Continental with the distributor mounted top center in the middle of the head. Could that be what this one had, since I see a hole in the block between the two center cylinders?
  21. It just might be a "1954 gebruder ihle schottenring microcar." IHLE Schottenring Car This microcar was built in Germany as a "Schottenring" car. Originally there was a steel bumper around the car and they rode on a wooden track (RING) in an Amusement Park. http://www.microcarmuseum.com/tour/ihle.html Generally credited with developing the signature BMW kidney grille, the Ihle brothers, Frank and Thomas, of Bruchsal, Germany, also built such racing cars as a competition variant of the BMW Dixie. After selling their racing car business to BMW, they established “Gebr. Ihle,” which translates to “the brothers Ihle,” aimed at producing cars for amusement parks and fairs. These cars are extremely rare and collectible. This particular example is powered by a 125cc Hirth two-stroke, single-cylinder motor producing about seven horsepower, accessed through a simulated spare tire cover at the rear. With a length of only 93 inches and a weight of only about 600 pounds, it is a delightfully sprightly little motor car, finished in a light yellow and maroon with one of two available front nose sections from Ihle, the other of which was simply intended to create some model differentiation in Ihle’s lineup. https://dobsonmotorsport.com/car/1954-ihle-schottenring-2-seat-microcar/ Sold for $41,400 http://www.rmsothebys.com/bw13/the-bruce-weiner-microcar-museum/lots/1954-ihle-schottenring-car/1057066
  22. Yes the real question is "who made it" but that layout doesn't seem right.
