  1. 1960 Studebaker Lark hardtop - $5900 - Windham, CT https://newlondon.craigslist.org/cto/d/windham-studabaker-lark/7152383033.html 1960 Stuabaker Lark 2 door hard top no rust beautiful solid project in good shape runs and drives with a lot off new parts, needs a new home. Asking $5900 O.B.O. I have no time serious buyer can call Contact: (860) five-76-five-nine-22 Copy and paste in your email: 0f651c12f9f93df3b7068fc469c5459b@sale.craigslist.org I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1959 Studebaker Lark hardtop. Note: It has a Skybolt OHV six cylinder engine which became available for the 1961 model year. The OHV is a conversion of the Champion L-head six, the cylinder head casting can develop cracks between the valve seats if overheated. Membership in the Studebaker Drivers Club is recommended to any prospective owner of this Lark. Parts and technical advice is readily available with and from an enthusiastic group of Studebaker folks.
  2. 1950 Pontiac Chieftain DeLuxe - $10000 - Roca, NE https://lincoln.craigslist.org/cto/d/roca-1950-pontiac-chieftain-deluxe/7154628837.html My grandmother bought this 4-door sedan new 70 years ago with a straight-8 cylinder engine and a Hydra-Matic transmission. It was restored in 1997 using an engine with less than 26K miles on it and the transmission was rebuilt. Since then it's been garage stored and driven less than 300 miles. An oil and filter change has been made, a new fuel pump and battery were installed, new spark plugs and wires were added, the front brakes were repaired, and all fluids have been checked. The car came loaded with options: radio, antenna, wind visor, traffic light viewer, fender skirts, wheel covers, WW tires, direction signals, clock, outside RV mirror, back-up lights, gas filler trim, and an under-hood trouble light. Its condition is better than good. 3. Indeed, the 1958 Lincolns and Continentals are an acquired taste. My bad taste was formed at six years old when I saw my first '58, instantly smitten... I know, strange little kid...

  6. Installing an overdrive set-up and correct differential ratio from the same year Ford would be an option for this car.
  7. Essentially none. The FE engine would be either a 332 ci or a 361 ci V8. 352 ci weren't optional for the '59 Edsel. If you are considering the red and white '59 Ranger posted in the Cars For Sale section, that car is listed as having a 361.
  8. You're on to my game! Showing by example there are old cars that can be bought for reasonable money to get into the hobby.

Note: It should lose those lake pipes, stick shift makes this a good daily driver. Seller list a 361 ci, though those aren't listed as an option for 1959, only the 223 six or the standard equipment 292 V8. The Corsair came with a 332 ci V8. 11. This one: https://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/d/haines-city-antique-fire-truck-dodge/7154448268.html
  12. A 1932 Essex-Terraplane touring! The sole example extant, no doubt.
  13. Finally! A 1933 Continental Ace! Wondered if a period image of one would ever show up.
  14. Although its hard to tell from the photos, this car does appears not to have had rockers, dog-legs or wheelhouses body-worked, which is atypical for '55-'56 Fords in the Northeast. These areas appear very straight, compare well with factory photos of '56 Fords. If upon close inspection this car is solid, it goes a long way toward making it a good choice.
  15. Artillery wheels maybe? Wires go with convertibles usually. Chromed artillery wheels were optional from a few carmakers at the time. Auburn experts will have to weigh in.
  16. Yes, But its leather finished to look like vinyl... You know, just like Pierce-Arrow did at the time...
  17. 1956 Ford Fairlane Town Victoria 4dr ht - $5500 - Sanbornville, NH https://nh.craigslist.org/cto/d/milton-mills-1956-ford-4dr-ht/7152723402.html 1956 Ford 4dr hardtop, 6cyl 3spd standard, needs: brake work to drive, CALLS ONLY Contact: Randy (603) nine-8-six-95-zero-3 Copy and paste in your email: dbda64c56ec53ae3961951ae644999be@sale.craigslist.org I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1956 Ford Fairlane Town Victoria 4dr hardtop. Note: First year, last-of-the-body-cycle four door hardtops are unique one year wonders. This one is yet a further oddity being a six cylinder with stick shift. For every 100 '56 Crown Victorias or convertibles that appears at shows, maybe one of these does.
