  1. Do you have a year and make of auto that used it? A pic of the back of the switch would help too. Terry
  2. The Atwater Kent stuff was the high end product of the day from what I have read. I hope digital photo users remember to make physical copies else cool stuff like this will be lost to future generations. Terry
  3. This is a photo we found of my wife's great uncle standing next to his model A delivery truck he had for his general store in Pine Dale PA in Schuylkill County. Photo was dated as 1931. He sold appliances as well as other general store merchandise. Note his deformed leg. We have pics of him on a motorcycle so it must have not had much effect on him. The 1964 Plymouth I used to own was the last car he owned before he passed. Terry
  4. Best to contact him directly for a quote with the info he has supplied. Most of these specialty vendors do not constantly check the forum.
  5. If it has an older fuel pump the diaphragm might be failing. Terry
  6. Caught me off guard when I first saw it too, and then the mental workout to remember my password had to kick in!
  7. And I've been buying boxes of Cracker Jacks! No wonder it's taking me so long. Terry
  8. Mid 1930s Chevy would be a good place to start as that is what they look like to me. Terry
  9. Indeed, thanks for sharing! You are the official photo man for this forum.
  10. I used to belong to the Antique Truck Club of America (ATCA) and attended their big show in Allentown PA. You would be surprised with the type of trucks in some collections. One of my favorites was a huge logging truck that was big enough to take up most of the highway. I often wondered how big the garages they needed to store them all would be. Certainly not a hobby for those with limited garage space.
  11. This lighthearted post was inspired by an ad I saw recently for a Ford Model T frame that got me thinking about starting with a single part and building a finished car around it. The idea of starting with something simple like a frame or engine seems like it would be an interesting challenge! Terry
  12. Well, hey, you got to start somewhere! Just need a few more parts to finish it for Hershey. Terry
  13. In the early 1960s Ford was giving away promo cars at the local dealerships as shown by this postcard I found recently. It was hoped you would buy the real thing too after getting the free promo. Terry
  14. Congrats on your birthday Dale. Hope you have many more! Terry
  15. Location and price are helpful too include in the ad. Terry
  16. I like the "great patina" comment! When you're looking for positive points I guess no stone is left unturned. Can't say that I've ever seen one in real life. Terry
  17. A good cleaning will help sell it. It sure does look like an excellent car, regardless of any Ike pedigree. Terry
  18. MoPar? The small holes and hubcap clips seem similar to Chrysler products wheels
  19. Since you mentioned them, here they are
  20. These photos are compliments of my son who attended a car / airplane show in San Jose CA over the weekend. There were many cool cars in attendance from the other photos he sent to me. The Packard is an unrestored original from the owners description. Terry
  21. Had the vehicle that decided to turned into my lane of travel as I rode my motorcycle been equipped with a smart recognition system for oncoming traffic I would not be an amputee and paraplegic today. I have a LOT of respect and interest in the technology that can prevent accidents like mine. Terry
  22. One benefit from the self driving car is less driver fatigue from having to be on guard all the time while driving. Letting the car do a lot of that required defensive monitoring can allow the driver to stay fresh longer and be more alert. Should help with road safety overall. Terry
  23. The fuel pump may be bad or the fuel line is blocked with rust inside the tank. The fact it runs with gas into the carb is a good start. Post your questions in the Buick forum for best results. Nice car! Terry
  24. Model S with Ludicrous mode? Impressive for sure!
