Tom, the shape looks similar to a motorcycle horn of the 30s to 50s era. Indian mc used auto lite parts so it might be aftermarket replacement for them. Terry

I get the same feeling about American Pickers when they buy something in Florida, then have to drag it back to thier home base and are happy that they will make $200 on it. Can't pay the bills very well with those low profits. Terry

Short answer- not many were made as a pick-up. Most were larger farm and delivery stake body trucks from what I have seen at truck shows. If you had the Mack Jr. version of this truck it would be worth A LOT to the Mack collectors. You could try asking for more information on the Antique Truck Club of America (ATCA) web site. Terry

Is a 1975 Ford Maverick Grabber Sport really that slow!?
TerryB replied to a topic in General Discussion
Economy was important in 1975 as we were adjusting to our first taste of rising gas prices and limited availability. Performance over fuel economy was a long time in coming back in to the US car market. I had a 1977 Nova "Rally" edition that had a 305 v8, 2bbl carb, dual exhaust and auto on the tree. It was not fast but it did handle well. Terry -

Hi Chris, Sent you an e-mail. Terry -
My 1964 Plymouth with push buttons had a separate lever next to the buttons to engage the "Park" action. Without that lever in the park position the car could be moved as the trans was in neutral. Terry

If you go back in time there were people who threw away boxes of stuff we prize today because they were not in demand and never will be worth much, at least they thought that at the time. Hard to say what will be the next collectible car. Terry

The Mitchell collision parts books from that era can be used to ID some parts too. Terry

Selling one of my favorite pieces of Chrysler literature. This service bulletin, dated March 1, 1957, informs the Chrysler dealer service departments of the new 1957 Chrysler 300-C. The cover page of the service bulletin describes the car's legendary features with its dual four barrel carbs, full race cam, mechanical lifters and all the other special transmission and suspension modifications that are part of the package. The bulletin booklet measures 8 1/2" x 11 and contains 24 pages of information and illustrations. It is clean and in very good to excellent condition. The cover page has a few light pen marks on it but there are none on the interior pages. Asking $18 for this unusal item plus $3 postage in the USA. Personal check, money orders and paypal accepted. Thanks, Terry Boyer Lititz PA 17543

I wondered who was going to get the job of teaching the shifting method for this car to a 16 year old. One day I was talking cars with a new chemical engineer at my place of employment and she told me about the "old" Mustang she once drove. She knew it was old because the hi-low beam switch was on the FLOOR! Imagine how a Model T would seem to her?? Terry
