In my circle of friends of my age (mid 60s) I was one of the few messing with pre war cars in original condition. The others were interested in street rods or muscle era cars. In my son’s eyes, he’s 25, old cars are pre 1980s models. We all gravitate to what we like best.

I would recheck the wiring to make sure everything is correctly connected. Certainly there has to be a path from the battery to the alternator for the battery to charge. A 6k ohm resistor connected to 12v produces a current flow of 0.002A.

When using a full keyboard it’s easy to type out information. Those folks who are proficient at typing messages with their thumbs on smartphone micro keyboards amaze me. If you are not proficient with that method it might be why we see short title lines for some questions. At least I like to hope it’s why before I jump on them for poor forum methods. The Indy race was barely mentioned on the news yesterday. I remember when it was on the news a lot leading up to and including the day of the race. Seems F1 is gaining a little more US audience but nothing like it gets in Europe. Today’s morning news said attendance is down at baseball games this year too. Lots of changes happening in this age of digital entertainment. I went looking for the Indy race on TV yesterday and found out I missed it but did see some F1 from Monaco instead. Ended the day with Mecum auction from someplace I can’t remember and fell asleep watching it.
