  1. Hi Ron, My roadster is a 1929 Chrysler model 65, and yes the step pad bracket can be mounted on left or right guards as it has the same shaped base as the brake light bracket. If we can’t find you one, I think that I might have a brass casting of one, only problem is I’m in Adelaide for the next two weeks and won’t get home to Sydney until the 25th. Cheers
  2. Hello there Ron, Should look like a Chrysler one, I put extra pad on the bumper of my Chrysler roadster.
  3. Thanks for the tips Hans1 I'll do as suggested to work out what vehicle might have use the wheels.
  4. Hi 1930 Kram66 Simple answer, as the literature says Black and silver surrounds around the instruments and instrument panel, but then again nothing is simple with old cars as you could get various instrument panels to suit your taste as can be seen on various photo of instrument panels of 1930 Chrysler 66's, sorry for the poor quality of photos. I might have a panel face if yours won't do. You might like t look at this from a few years back https://forums.aaca.org/topic/292177-correct-finish-for-1929-series-65-instrument-panel-query/
  5. Thanks Gunsmoke, will keep that in mind hopefully 1930 Kram66 has the head I'm looking for.
  6. Sure would help me if you still have it, please let me know in a PM
  7. Your right mate, You being very helpful and I might know of a block if yours doesn't work out.
  8. Sorry to hear that! where about's are you? Oz is a big place.
  9. Thanks 1930 Kram66, I'm working in reverse putting a 66 head on a 65 motor, might have an issue with the distributor shaft did you have much to remove the boss? Also did you solve your problem?
  10. Lambroast, Will do, from what I have managed to find out the Head gasket for the Chrysler models 60, 62, 65, 66 and 70 up to engine number V13858 were interchangeable with one another, so I guess that the heads would fit the stud pattern the only question would be the depth of the compression chamber.
  11. Hi maok, Thanks for that mate, I might take up your offer if I can't find one but in the meantime keep good care of that spare head you never know if you might need it in the future I have the model 66 on it's way to me so will be able to fit it to the motor and confirm that it will work.
  12. Thanks for the replies Gents, having trouble finding a head for a model 65 but can get a model 66, worth a shot.
  13. Would any of you learned Gentlemen know if a 1929 Chrysler model 65 Silver dome head is interchangeable with a 1930 Chrysler model 66 Silver dome or vice versa.
  14. Nice! Will keep an eye out for the parts you are after.
  15. Hey Terry, where about's are you, I might be able to help with that, what car do you have and any chance of a photo. cheers Alex (NSW)
  16. From what I understand there were two types from Tiffany a 2 and a 3 jewel facing model, the two jewel type was normally mounted on the fenders and the 3 jewelled was mounted on the body and the 3rd jewel shone a light onto the running board, if you zoom in on my Roadster you will see the light just behind the door, the photo of the tourer has the light mounted in-between the front and back doors, the 3 jewels model was green and red for front and back and a clear for the 3rd jewel to shine a foot light.
  17. Hi maok, looking at the photo and placement I'd dare say that they ran the wire through that pipe from the generator back to the dash , you can see the original wiring harness in the photo above.
  18. Did the 66 have C C embossed on the head also? sorry about the quality of the photo.
  19. Does your inner wheel arch or chassis have any pre drilled holes for such a bracket? I thought it just bolted onto the guard itself.
  20. As far as I know 1929 Chrysler model 65 was only with a vacuum fuel pump, which also ran the windscreen wiper.
  21. From what I have seen on the web these might be 1930 Nash wheels, any thoughts? 10 spokes 5 lugs
  22. Thanks for the replies gents, the inside diameter is 14", I will look into the suggestions as to what car the wheels might have come from.
  23. I hope someone can ID these wheels by the inspection holes written in chalk is 19" 1929 stamped made by Motor Wheel Corp Lansing Mich USA thread looks like 3 3/8"
  24. Yes very much like a Chrysler 1929 65 although that windscreen looks a bit odd along with the bumper bars, any chance of an engine number so that we can be sure. Here's one that I picked up a few months ago that I will restore.

    Clum switch

Yes that is correct, the horn wire is the only wire to run up the steering column, the horn button when pressed down earths the connection and the horn will sound.
