  1. I am going thru this right now with two cars. Submit a Dl 135 Form to Penndot. It will need notarized. $14 cost plus notary fee. That form is a history that they may or may not have. Was it tiled in PA or not and who may own it. If an owners name is on it a registered letter is sent to them. In the case I am working on now there is no notice of ownership Once that is sent back from Penndot take that to the prothonotary office at the courthouse and fill out a form to set a court date $160. The court will send you a paper stating when the court date is. Date, time and courtroom # That information is required to be in the local paper one day a week, three weeks in a row. My local paper is charging me $244.50. It must be posted once in the local law journal as well, I am waiting for the cost of that. You go in front of the judge will all of the record of steps you did and if no one shows up he will issue you a form to get a title. The title will be clear and in your name. PA title fee is $67. You don't need an attorney but I am sure you could find one to help if needed. The total cost should be between $500 and $600 if you do it yourself. It can be done as I did it several years ago on a 2008 Mercedes R350 that I drove.
  2. I am 6'4" and drive a Saturn Sky with ease. I had a 1964 Buick Riviera and had the seat moved back a couple of inches for more comfort. I get in a lot of cars on the passenger side and almost always hear " you can move the seat back if you want" My reply "it's already back the whole way"
  3. My two sons and the neighbor's kid.
  4. 1934 Chevrolet classic advertised on facebook market place in Indiana PA 1934 Chevy panel truck. looks super nice 35K asking price
  5. I do live in PA and I am a Full Service Notary in Pennsylvania. There can be issues with titles and some are created by the person getting the paperwork on DMV's end. Some on mine as well. We are not all perfect. What I stated earlier should suffice in this case.
  6. Older vehicles brought into PA from New York do not have titles, only registrations. Make a note stating England does not have titles only registrations. Your notary will fill out an MV-1 form. trace a copy of the VIN, and or have a mechanic sign the MV-1 form and you should be good to go. Any additional paperwork would be helpful as well. I don't see an issue with it. Good luck with your purchase
  7. I picked up a 2007 Chrysler 300 yesterday. Fourth different one over the years. All the Same color "cool vanilla. Two I bought new. One car I have bought twice was a 1972 Pontiac LeMans Sport Convertible, Yellow with a black top and interior. I had it restored drove it a while and sold it. I found it many years later after it was abused and neglected. I bought it again to bring it back to glory but ended up selling it again. Was wondering how many folks have owned the same car more than once.
  8. My current list is at 207 cars. Very first car was a 1963 Buick Riviera. Fifteen convertibles including a 1970 GTO Ram air IV, 1967 Buick GS and a 1971 Olds 442 and a 1969 Plymouth Sport Satellite. Only one now is a 2007 Saturn Sky. Four Corvettes. I have had Fifteen station wagons including two I currently own. A 1956 and 1957 Nomad. I did not include the 1960 Cadillac ambulance I ran in the demo derby. ( things we did as children) I also have a 2011 Dodge Challenger
  9. What is the roughest condition potentially most valuable car you ever purchased? I can think of two I owned. 1968 Firebird 400 convertible that was sideswiped and later caught on fire as the son was burning garbage. The other one was a 1969 Boss 302 Mustang with no drivetrain, hood and missing other parts. Both cars were sold
  10. I know they made Corvette conversion wagons, Jaquar's?
  11. You know it when you see it. Usually doesn't take long when you put eyes on it. It's a yes or no pretty quickly. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Thanks for the extra work you caused me....... Tried a spot or two on this old girl and now have to do the rest. I did not think to even get it on the paint but it does work. I'm impressed. Thanks for the tip
  13. Glad to get all of the replies. My quest was to start a topic on a product you folks use for what ever purpose and share with others. My topic was what I use for cleaning stainless and aluminum. What is your go to product and for what purpose. Should make for interesting conversation.
  14. Cleaning stainless and aluminum; Mothers mag and aluminum polish. I have been using it for over forty years and am using it now for stainless trim on a 1956 Nomad project. I also use it on some items unearthed from metal detecting, another hobby of mine. Works great on silver as well. detecting. Great on silver as well
  15. I have a 1957 Nomad that was painted in the early seventies and it shows. In keeping with that era I have a 1974 JC Whitney magazine on the seat and one of the most needed necessities, not accessories, a bottle of cologne. In this case it has to be Hai Karate
  16. They had just opened up a new mall in the area and I was trying to meet up with a couple of girls. They went around back and I was going to "catch" them on the other side. I did not realize they had put cement curbs between some of the store parking lots. I found out while driving my 1965 Caprice. Hit the curb, bounced several hundred feet before it stopped. Bent the A-frame and knocked the linkage off of the transmission. Alcohol was involved. We were careful when we would drive around drinking, our buddies would open the beers up and hand them to us while we drove. Can never be too careful!
  17. My parents bought a 1974 Buick Luxus Green in and out. It was a two door. They traded it in on a 1977 Regal. I ordered my first new car the same day. It was a 1977 Buick Century Black with t-tops and white bucket seats. The guy I sold it to many years ago still has it. I got the opportunity to sit in it at a recent cruise in. Looked in the rear view mirror and alas my hair was still gray. I thought It would take me back to my early twenties when I owned it
  18. Start with form DL-135 Fill it out, send $14 to the state and see what info they have on the vehicle if any. With that info go to the courthouse to set a date to hear from anyone that may come forward to claim the vehicle. Notify in writing anyone associated with the title. Post it in the local paper and law journal twice. Show up at the hearing before the judge for his verdict. It does take time and some money but it can be done I did it for a 2008 Mercedes
  19. I bought a 1963 Rambler station wagon at an estate auction. Car was in a poorly lit garage. After I got it home I found a porcelain Texaco sign under the front passenger floor mat. Car was pretty rough. I sold the sign for the price I paid for the car.
  20. I completed the inside of my garage with insulation, wafer board and finished it with white vinyl siding. Easy to put up and to clean.
