  1. I agree, the car is loaded with everything but power windows (note the auto bright light dimmer on the dash) and skirts for only $8800. I have owned two 55s and they were great cars that were a pleasure to drive. I don't think this will last long.
  2. One of my favorite cars of the 50s. I would like to see the engine compartment and the underside. That having been said, this could be a winner.
  3. Originally my 56S was Aztec Brown, but was repainted before I got it. No offense to anyone but the Aztec Brown was a terrible color. I got a color sheet from 1940 and chose Royal Maroon when the car was restored. I get a lot of compliments on the color as I'm sure you do on the Pontiac. Both of your cars are beautiful.
  4. You have good taste in cars. Best of luck with your new Super.
  5. Clean looking little car. Not sure if the price is right, I would say 6k is all the money here IMO.
  6. Another marketing ploy here. No interest at the lower price, so better increase that by a thousand just to show people what it is really worth. That having been said I did run across this car on ebay and there is another '60 Olds for sale there and it is the four door sedan at 24.5K, very optimistic IMO.
  7. Hard to say of this car is worth 24.5K or not from one pic. If the leather interior is junk, that would cost you an arm and a leg to replace and then there's the chrome and paint plus mechanicals. Nice looking from afar, but may be far from good. Makes you wonder if they were short on film, or just no desire to sell the car with so little information on what may be a nice car.
  8. Very unusual car. Beautiful Blue paint and all the bells a whistles, but the price is a little high IMO. The four speed trans will not suit the typical buyer of this beautiful Merc.
  9. If I had a daughter, or son who was going off to school, I would buy them a car like this. If they drove the car responsibly it should be worth at least what you paid for it.
  10. This is the exact make and model that was my mom's car. Her car was grey and the material does not look correct. The seats as I remember were textured dark grey in color and the headliner was a foam like material. I would be surprised if that material lasted 60 plus years. Great style on this hardtop. Excellent driving car.
  11. Nice car to drive and enjoy. You could do small things to freshen this up, but certainly that wouldn't put you upside down on this car. I like it.
  12. I think that you got this right. 12K will not go too far to bring this car back to life, just a small drop in the bucket for the needs of this car.
  13. Very elegant looking car. The interior sure enhances the Black and White exterior, which could be boring with a grey interior IMO.
  14. It appears as though the drivers side is angled downward also. I can't imagine that the bumper could be twisted.
  15. I guess this is just a matter of how fat is your wallet. This car is nearly twice the price of the '39 and I can't see that this car is twice the value. Matter of taste I guess.
  16. This is my some day car. If I ever sell my Buick, the only other car that I would buy is a '57 Olds. The exterior color is beautiful, interior not so much.
  17. I believe that the owners wife put her foot down and told him, "either the car goes or I go" Now he can't decide which one to part with. That's why the price is all over the map.
  18. For 2K less than the '39 Chevrolet Business Coupe that is listed, you could buy this car. IMO this is a lot more car for your money. The color looks great on this car and the interior looks fantastic.
