  1. Drove her out to our local AACA installation banquet. Was officially installed on the BOD for the upcoming year. Nice drive, nice people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. a little too far to go. Was thinking of trying to swing by and have a look. Maybe someone closer will be able to help out and explain what they are checking so you learn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Dats fu nay chit! Really need pictures as Bob said to see what you are talking about. I just had my front bumper off on the 56' Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Glad to hear! Get well soon! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Then explain why!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Not that bad of a job! You can unbolt the torque tube from the tranny, the shocks, brake lines and emergency brake cable. Then you can use two ratchet straps to pull the rear end back away from the tranny. I pulled the tranny and put another back in in a couple of hours like that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Prayers to you. Take your time with the recovery. You are in my thoughts and prayers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. No. The convertible lid is convertible only. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Cannot wait until Allentown 2016! Will be nice to see it all. Thanks for posting the story. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Pulled the bumper off today and cleaned things up best as I could. Wire brushed the metal behind the bumper and painted black for protection, more than anything else. Took off the eyebrows and cleaned/ waxed the bumper parts that never see the sun. Put it back together and...... Back on the car. Will have to adjust the eyebrows a little as they are a little too far from the fender. 100% improvement! Period chrome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Keith, Not odd! You just have to fix that and go once! Make my house a stopping point and we'll go together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Dale He had a very nice price of $5,600.00 on the sign. Btw I was able to chat with our President, Brian DePouli for awhile and also managed to stop Pete Phillips as he was "flashing" across the field. Was nice setting in the BCA tent and chatting with the fine guys from Rochester that man the tent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The National Anthem is my FAVORITE part of each day at Hershey! I have been staying at an off ground campground the last few years. I may try the field across from Hershey next year. It's only me and I don't need much when at Hershey! Have a generator for power. Might save a little money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I found a few things for my herd. Purchased some 18" magnetic Buick signs, three BCA license plate holders, a stainless spear for one of the convertibles, a dome light bezel and lens for the 47 and fender eyebrows for the 56. The most original thing that I had never seen before was this...... The fella that had it must have known it was rare based on his price! ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Purchased some nicer bumper eye brows for the front bumper at Hershey. These actually still have the chrome on them. I started removing the bumper tonight..... Before cleaning.... After cleaning them up! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Truly enjoyed myself once again this year. The weather cooperated for the most part and as always was able to meet up with good car friends. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Very nice Adam! Your description had me ready to see something horrible looking! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. When you don't get any bids at $600.00 by the educated peoples, you raise the price $7400.00 hoping the whackos come out of the cornfield! I had a lot of sheet metal for floors and rockers. Would just have needed some fityfo fenders to regraft the headlights back in. The trunk would have been a challenge no matter how you look at it. 3000+ hours in the original build. With all that rust, more like 6000hrs this time. Swapping out the engine, wiring harnes(custom), interior, etc. ROI.......(NEVER)! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. The bidding first started at $600.00, so when I was NOT checking the wife and thinking about bidding, they changed the starting bid to $8000.00. At $600 and only 5 hrs away, was considering...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Will probably be less work and if you have any hair you may still gave some afterwards if you just pull the tranny and detail the engine compartment with the engine in. But, others will chime in also Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Robert Thanks for the pictures and the story about the car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Will second using atf in the system Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. If you have a 56', you need a shop manual for a 56'! You can diagnose your transmission, if it has problems, right out of the manual. Ask me how I know...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. There should be a screw in the top section that holds the window channel to the frame. I will be under the channel felt seal that is installed in the window channel itself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
