Not necessarily a barn find, but I purchased in El Paso, Tx and had it brought to PA four years ago. Almost there..... -

Crappy picture, but finished modifying the passenger door stainless moulding. Mine was gone and I was able to aquire this one from a two door. The doors are a bit longer on a two door, so I cut and re-bent. This piece was pretty bashed up in a couple spots. I happy with it. Also worked on double flaring some lines for the convertible top cylinders. Tomorrow I hope to installthe cylinders and finish up the line fabrication. -
Then again, since your car doesn't have an engine, may just be flex because it is a convertible. Be careful anyways....
-
Be careful. I think I see what is happening! You are pivoting on the front jack stands. The weight of the engine and tranny more than throw off your balance on a convertible. Do yourself a favor and rest it back on suspension, not frame. I don't wanna read your obit tomorrow.

Attached the surround moulding base to te car. Installed the first piece of stainless around the tub, with the first piece on te door. Spent 1.5 hrs and well over $100.00 on new fasteners for mounting parts, trim and almost all of the new bolts/washers for the convertinle top. Polished stainless..... -

Been tired for an hour. Long day at work! Made myself finish this. Very satisfied! Maybe the moustache bar tomorrow. I know several of the mounting studs are rough and needing replaced. Will see how it goes. -
I will stop after this one. Mexico is still part of America. We have a free trade agreement with them that mutually benefits both. I love the look of both vehicles. Many products, good products are made in China. But, given the chance to purchase out of a lineup. I will puchase one made here because I am just hardheaded and stuck in my ways.

After my dentist appointment this afternoon, I did some of my own on the grill. Few more to go and then placement back on the holder -
As nice as they may look, as long as Buick cars are made in China, there will be NONE in my stable! Period! I don't care how many vehicles they purchase from us. Elimination of US jobs. Why? Because of the UAW, taxes, etc. the government has probably agreed to let them be imported tax free or at a lesser tax also. Ultimately, who wins? The consumer? Don't think so.

Funny you asked. I have NO idea! I took the too mechanism, less the parts to be chromed and the header to be powdercoated locally and showed the guy a picture of an original cars color. The header is rattle can and clear coated. The can was a really close match. The top of the header, that always rusts through is painted with POR 15. -

The important thing is to accomplish at least something every day. Also started laying out the convertible top assembly. Off for fasteners tomorrow.......
