  1. My radiator was nickel plated and carries the DB emblem. The shell has a raised ridge as does the Graham trucks. Check my profile album pictures. My vacuum tank is a Stewart Warner and is located on the drivers side. This is my S-114xxx truck.
  2. I have only come across the straight frame trucks. I quess my assumption was incorrect. Thanks your explanation.
  3. 1929dodgetruck I have a question for the truck shown. The frame has a # D-2198xx and a Ply 4 engine. It appears the frame is quite different than my "E" series 1929 DB. My frame is straight on top with no aise over the rear axle. I thought the frame for all D-175xxxx to D-237xxx were straight over the axle like mine. Maybe Detroit "D" trucks changed the frame. Is your truck a U-124? .
  4. Sorry for confusion. I am learning how to use this site. I was referring to thread # 30 that you posted 1 day ago.
  5. Do you have the truck for the more intact toe plate? It is a "E" series as noted by the E 149xxx frame. I can not make out the model. Is it DA-1? Is the wheelbase 130"?
  6. Thanks Jason. I will review and comment when I digest it all. My parts truck is S 115179 and original truck is S 114139. The 11/17/31 truck may then be a DEF since it has cast iron spoke 20" tires and heavy duty 10 leave rear springs. It also had a more streamlined headlight. All I have for the body of later truck is the firewall. The original truck S 114139 has rad shutters and they are vertical. They were badly damaged in the earlier accident. The shutters I have now are horizontal and the carry the GB logo. I found them at a swap meet in Yuba City Ca for 5 bucks. The last picture is a match to what mine will be. A stake side flatbed. Thanks again. Lots of knowledge.
  7. There are 4 places for data on my toe board plate: Upper left (frame number), upper rt. (model), lower left (illegible), and lower rt. (wheelbase). You can see the plate in the interior view of the dashboard scan you sent. There appears to be 4 areas for information. These plates are different then the passenger cars.
  8. Could you scan the page showing the discriptions of the items numbered here. My dash is the same and I can find out where items belong. I have a partial registration plate shown on the toeboard in your picture. This was in my screenside. Note: S 114439, model DE, 120 wheelbase. Thats all I can read. The shape matches the one in your dash picture. Do you have a registration plate for your truck? If so could you send me a scan? I would like to know what I am missing. Thanks.
  9. Jason have you seen any reference to the "DE" model in your parts book? I noticed no reference to the DE model on your page that you posted. It may be the DA-120 and DE shared the same chassis and running gear. Are there different parts reference manuals? The page you show has a different format than my parts book. I find some references. In particular "INTAKE AND EXHAUST MANIFOLD" . The # is 40510. This matches the # on my manifold. Thanks you all for your research.
  10. Remember "it is what it is" with these trucks. I Believe those pedals are original to my truck. i found that the Master Parts book shows little reference to my DE model. This my be since it was a reborn Graham. I was only able to find a few reference to DE model.
  11. Be carefull removing the heat control cover on your intake manifold. Mine was damaged. If you have any doubts don't attempt to remove it. It is quite possible the chassis and cowl shown in my previous tread is used by your DA truck. Only the body construction is different.
  12. I was mistaken. The numbers were 522178 and 522179.
  13. Here is the picture of the Graham DE model.
  14. Thanks a lot. Great picture interior of cab. It is the same as my DE model. It even shows the location of the registration plate. My headlights on the early truck are the canister type used in 1927 or earlier. The parts truck has headlights with a raised bezel on the top of the rim and the Stomberg carb? I would assume they were using and interchanging when available during the transition years. Bottom line in this case "it is what it is". That is Graham truck with a Dodge nameplate. Be sure check my profile album. There is a picture of a Graham mode DE. Thanks again in your assistance to solve a bit of a mystery.
  15. I posted some photos on my profile album. You will see my hood emblem, a side view of my stewart carb, and a latest view of my DB.
  16. I wondering if my parts truck was a DA series truck because it was purchased new as a 1931. Since the radiator shell matches my original 1929 DE series it is different than yours. Your pictures show a smooth front face and mine has a raised rolled edge at radiator edge. Does the manual show a dash board or radiator shell?
  17. My first purchased truck was "DE" model. I know this because I have a partial registration plate found on my toeboard. It was a screenside with badly damaged body parts. I have choosen to change to a closed cab with a flatbed stakeside. The parts truck only has partial running gear, frame and firewall. I have no idea what it is was prior. My original frame was badly damaged in a wreck many years ago. I would have liked to see the other car. The parts truck provided my frame. Interesting that my parts truck had the heavy duty cast iron 20" rims and heavy duty rear springs. It may be that the last book shown may apply to my "DE" series. Could you do a page scan forward to me at sstake@surewest.net.
  18. I believe this should be D231751 chassis or a Detroit build. Where are you located? Iam in Sacramento area.
  19. Could post the link? I could not find it.
  20. The trans was with my original engine # H79xxx and frame S 114xxx. This was a early "E" series. I only have extra engine and attached bell housing. What is your frame #? Do have any pictures of your truck to post?
  21. I did not find any other destination than the T71 I believe. I did not find a 522180. .
