  1. Is the generator 0n the right side of the engine (looking forward from the cab)? If so it is a victory 6 engine. SEE ATTACHED PICTURE Of VICTORY 6. Note the generator is on the other side of engine. Is there a frame number located above front spring mount on the left side of the frame. what is it? It may be on the registration slip also. You got some pictures to post?
  2. Just ordered one from Universal Tire.
  3. I am attempting to identify a "E" Series Graham truck with a 185 wheelbase. I believe it has a senior six since engine does not appear to be a victory or DA. Are there any picture of the side views of the senior engine and is the engine of head code 2252? A number is cast on the top of head near the firewall GB A514-270. <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

  5. I do not know if any of the inners are useable for DA a generator. Seams to be a gamble.
  6. The main diff between Victory and the DA is the generator location. The Victory generator is on the Pasenger side and the DA is on the drivers side. The victory 6 generator is sealed to the timing cover and has no visible belt, while the DA generator has a regular belt attached to a pulley. They appear quite different.
  7. I was able to locate Firestone 5.25X21 at Lucas Tire in Long Beach CA. The price is $173 and they are in stock. I know this correct since I have a 5.25X21 tire on my truck .
  8. See attached picture of the conversion chart. There is no 21 inch tire noted in the table. There should be 5.25X21 since I have one on a rim. The attached page of the DB manual shows the tire size and the effect on the rear bed height. You will have to zoom in to see numbers. I did have a conversion table but it is misplaced.
  9. Does anybody have a conversion table for these old tires? Is the 6.25X21 and equal to the 31X5.25 or 33X 4-1/2? What is equal to 30X5? Thanks
  10. Looking to purchase tires for my 29 DB 3/4 ton truck. The "DB Parts List for the Commerical 3/4 ton Truck" shows three rim sizes. They are 31X5.25, 33X 4-1/2, and 30X5. What are the conversion tire sizes? My rims are 21in. I also have a 21X5.25 Wards Tire that was a replacement tire of newer vintage. It would be good to have a truck tread design and the prices vary alot. Any ideas on purchase would be appreciated.
  11. The thread fell apart at the " shad " discussion stage. This is a great resource for the hobby It may be that the comments outside the restortion hobby should be kept on a personal level. Try "Facebook" or even a "tweet" for those comments.
  12. My 29 DB series "E" 3/4 ton has these numbers on the pedal arms attached to my clutch housing. They are 522178 located on both clutch and brake pedals. The "Master Parts List" has a 522180 listed fo the DA-120 and DA-124. I could not find any other numbers on the clutch housing. The U-124 is listed as 522795 in the "master parts list. I could not make out the number shown in preveious photos. Could I get those numbers?<!-- google_ad_section_end --> 30Chrysler responded "If your talking about the number on the pedal arm in that picture I believe it's 527484.
  13. Re: 3/4 ton DB parts list book<!-- google_ad_section_end --> <HR SIZE=1><!-- google_ad_section_start -->See this tread and note numbers on the pedal arm and the the trans case. "here are some photos of the transmission. the diameter where it meets the flywheel housing is about 15". the clutch photo is of a victory six. the trans fits this motor as well".<!-- google_ad_section_end --> <TABLE id=ncode_imageresizer_warning_3 class=ncode_imageresizer_warning width=640><TBODY><TR><TD class=td1 width=20></TD><TD class=td2 unselectable="on">This image has been resized. 14. Maybe there is a limit to the storage used by a thread. If this is so just start a new thread. If it is broke just fix it.
  15. First time I found the ole "Tread Closed" sign in regards to http://forums.aaca.org/f143/3-4-ton-db-parts-list-330080.html Let's get it restarted again. 30chrysler had got a build sheet and I agree of possible typos. Item #1: B-124 should be D-124.Item #2: My wood spokes on my 29 DB 3/4 tn are 21in. I do have one 20in rim but it is for the optional cast iron metal spoke hub. If your looking for colors it may be the ole "Dodge Blue" with cream trim on the raised bell lines.
  16. Jason- My transmission for my 29 DB 3/4 tn is a Warner Gear Co. of Muncie Ind. Chould be associated with Muncie I would guess. No part number on trans but T71-1A. There are matching number on the clutch and brake pedsls. Checkout my dissusion with 30crysler in the "Dodge Trucks form #26".Mine appears to be the same as the one in the forum pictures.
  17. 1930 Dodge Brothers 1 1/2 ton truck<!-- google_ad_section_end --> <HR SIZE=1><!-- google_ad_section_start -->I recently bought a 1930 Dodge Brothers 1 1/2 Ton series F truck. The number number under the hood and title vin is 8471055. The number on the motor is DD2T2942 0. Can anyone help me with information. I need to know if there are any shop manuals or books for this truck. I also need to know what engine this is. I want to restore it but I'm lost. Any help would be great. Thanks, TDC My mistake. It is a DD engine. The article I refferred to says The F-10 could of used the Desoto/Chysler six.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
  18. Thanks stakeside, I'd like you to ellaborate on how you came to that conclusion and what sources you used if you would please for those of us trying to follow along and learning how to use these books. In response to previous inquiry by 30Chysler- The information was in an article in the "Dodge Bros& Graham Bros Trucks through 1938". Article was titled "The Merchants Express part 2 ". The DB Club news Oct/Nov 99 feature this article. The strange looking tractor with the duellies was a salvaged truck used for other duties possibly on a farm. I have seen these back yard conversion before. I once saw a cut down 20's dodge chassis using the 4 clyinder engine and two tranmissions in series.
  19. The motor in original post http://forums.aaca.org/f143/1930-dodge-brothers-1-1-2-a-179329.html is not a DA-6. This would possibly be a Desoto 6.
  20. Good to get an original book. Lots of imformation to check. I have no idea why the "H" code. All I know is that was the original motor as registered on the title.
  21. This is the number listed as for the clutch pedal for U-124 and DA-124 after frame # D-227828. Do you have the "Master Parts List". I was able to get one for FAXON AUTO LIERATURE for $70.00. It is a Mopar reprint of good quality.
  22. The radiator shell or emblem do not have any numbers. I did find a number on the pedal arms attached to my clutch housing. Could I get those numbers?
  23. I saw your trans pictures. My 1929 DB "E" series has the same trans and it has a DA endine. My numbers on the drivers side is T-71-1A. I can't read what is says on your picture.
  24. One other clue is the difference of the radiator shell. The attached photos show my 1929 DB "E" series. Note the heavy bell molding around the inside radiator edge. I believe my truck is a DA-120, and this agrees with the "Master Parts List". All "E" series trucks and the DA-120 have a radiator shell code 516048. Also the radiator medallion code 522258 applys to the samr models. The Moto_GB_Grad radiator shutter is not original to my DB, but the DB radiator emblem is original. The frame number of my truck is S-115XXX
  25. Your dash board picture matches a picture in the before mention refference titled "Dodge Bros and Graham Bros Trucks through 1938". There is a Plymouth 4 shown in one of the articles. There also is a section on the UF and F series trucks. The dash shown in the article is for a F-10 model and this has a Chrysler/Desoto 6 engine. Have you been able to get this book? I have no other information on the Plymouth 4. There should be some engine numbers for these engine and you will need to know them to assure the correct engine. The D in your frame number reffers to where the truck was assembled, or D for Detroit. My frame is S for Stockton.
