Plans for cradle to hold straight 8?

These would be perfect. Are they two rails joined just at the rear, or is there another cross piece up front? -
Plans for cradle to hold straight 8?
jcmiller replied to jcmiller's topic in Chrysler Products - General
Maybe you're right, I just checked the Harbor Freight website and the 1000 pound stands are only 60 bucks. I thought they would be more than that. A stand would obviously be much more useful too. -
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have plans to make a simple wood cradle to set a 1940s straight 8 on for storage? I'm going to have a couple delivered and would like to have something ready when they get here. I don't have one to take measurements. Thx.

1942 Plymouth Coupe body - parting out

I pulled out the glove box door and trim and have decided to hang onto it. All the trim on it is nicer than the trim I have so I will eventually use it. Sorry! -

Some states will issue title when a title has been lost, but the person who lost it has to sign an affidavit swearing they lost it. I've recently learned that the 42 Plymouth coupe body is the same as the 1946-48 except for the front clip, trunk lid, and rear fenders, so anyone looking for body parts for those years should let me know. These guys did a great job rebuilding my master cylinder: http://hagensautoparts.com/ -

I didn't get a chance to dig through the boxes last weekend. I'll try to look this coming weekend. (Lots of kid's sports going on right now.) -

I might have one of those. I bought an extra glove box door a while back because I am missing the trim on the right. I'll take a look next weekend. I noticed that the C-shaped parts that auburn seeker is looking for are different than the ones on my car. -

It doesn't look like there are any dash parts. Sorry. -

I don't know yet how much of the dash I have. Those parts are not on the car, but there are lots of loose parts in boxes. It will be a week or so, but I will look and get back to you. -
I still have these and am trying to clear out the garage. Make me an offer.

I bought a '42 Plymouth Coupe body, mainly for one of the front fenders and the trunk springs. I am interested in selling off other parts. Let me know if you have any interest, and please pass this along if you know of any other '42 owners. I don't have a lot of storage. My plan is to take most of the removable parts off and the remainder will need to be scrapped. This is just the body and associated parts such as trim, glass, and window mechanicals. No chassis, no drivetrain. This is in Portland, OR. grancoupe1970@hotmail.com Here is a link to the ad I responded to, if you want to see some pictures, but it will likely be dead in a day or two: http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/4284422132.html

I still have these for sale. I'll sell for $60 if you pick them up (Portland, OR) or $75 + shipping by mail. In one of the pics I am pointing at a small dent that I think is the worst damage on the set.

It is similar, but not identical, to the bell crank link on my '42 Plymouth. The one on my car and the one pictured in my parts manual is straight. The one in the picture has a jog in it.

Hi, Great car and info! Is it your understanding that P14Cs with serial numbers after 1147830 (Detroit), 3305324 (LA), and 20160112 (Evansville) were blackout cars? Thx, Jeff
