  10. Thanks for that Harry, good stuff on their website that long cobra grain does seem like the closest and looks great. Earlier I was trying to think of the material I referred to incorrectly as Fabrioid. Here is the correct spelling and description as per Coachbuilder website: Coachbuilding Terminology, Coach Builders Dictionary, Body Builders Glossary, Definitions, Explanations, Coachmakers, Carriage Builders, Coachbult.com - (coachbuilt.com) "FABRIKOID - a pyroxylin surface-coated fabric made by a facility of the same name in Newburgh, NY from 1908 through the 1930’s. E.I. DuPont de Nemours bought the plant in 1910, offering Fabrikoid as a DuPont product thereafter. While some of this output was top material in earlier years, the production of leatherette (or artificial leather) dominated the later years of activity under this trade name. The name “Fabrikoid” was sometimes used as a synonym for pyroxylin coated fabrics." Some good reading on other materials via Haartz site: Current Options for Top Materials | Haartz Corporation
  11. The designations as they are in Automotive Industries magazine from 1930 for all makers used were: Py-FA (Pyroxylin Fabric) RCF (Rubber Coated Fabric) Pyrox (Pyroxylin Finish) Im.Lea. (Imitation Leather) Fabric (Fabric Leather) There were other terms used at the time like Fabrioid (sp*) I think may have been one if I recall reading. However many different manufacturers had different terminology from what I've gathered. Franklin used what they now call Permaflex which was then called Pantasote. There is a guy that is highly recommended out of Hemmings his name is Eric Haartz. His phone is 978-264-2600 and most of the guys on this forum have vouched for him in the past. Others may have better suggestions but that's all I have at the moment. Keep us posted on what you find out. Regards Dave
  12. They've given some really good tips but it sounds like you just want someone to do it for you. Try calling Rand Broadstreet. He frequents the board here from time to time. He may be willing to work on it for you. Vintage Carburetor Ltd. - Pre 1935 Carburetors
