  1. 1918 Oakland CA 3034 Capp St Mrs Whites Craftsman style home
  2. Mayor Rolph inside the Mile Rock tunnel sewer 1915. I suppose this was to promote the sound infrastructure after the recent SF earthquake... just a guess.
  3. Twin Peaks Blvd looking southeast, said to be ten Chandler vehicles.
  4. View looking south toward Sloat Blvd 1921 with Sunset Confectionary on the left, Re-Elect Nelson sign post on the right. Billboards were later removed.
  5. Kearny & Vermehr Place 1919 View east across Kearny to 122-130 Kearny, White Lunch Co. with delivery trucks and drivers in front. "Never Closed", "Ascend The Marble Stairway to the White Lunch Cafenet"; D.C. Heger Art Neckwear 116-118 Kearny; W.J. Hesthal Golden Gate Loan Office, 110 Kearny. Surely these sparkling new Dodge Brothers Commercial Cars landed in promotional DB literature somewhere...
  6. I've posted photos of SoCal beaches from the era. Here's what the NoCal beaches looked like.
  7. Sorry about that Bob. Let's see if this works. Here is the attached wording " View is of the two-story white building at the northwest corner of Sutter and Van Ness, containing a Goodyear tire dealership and the Simplex-Mercer Pacific Coast Agency. An automobile is parked in front of the Goodyear dealership. A United Railroads #101-180 series car is eastbound on the #2 Clement line. According to "The White Front Cars of San Francisco" by Charles Smallwood, these cars were built in 1911 and transferred to the Haight Street lines in 1913, thereby dating the photo. Also, Muni's H Van Ness line, built in 1914, is not yet in evidence."
