  1. Can someone please get them off of that hood before they dent it!
  2. Wasn't this Ruxton finished by a board member several years back? I think his name was Barry or Wolf (sp)..? I might be thinking of a different one...
  3. Counts me out... I'm glad they have such rules for PB, and glad they explain it so well on their website. Afterall, it's the best of the best not "and those others". The amazing thing to me is that anything with pure and authenticated provenance are allowed (and encouraged) to submit. Most won't make the cut but it's good to see they at least consider any make and model depending on class and needs they are trying to fill any given year. They make it equally fair to all parties but without that true historical data guys like me just wish we had a father lol.
  4. Might help to put what year or model the truck engine you're looking for in your heading. Just a friendly suggestion... Good luck in your search Dave
  5. Steve, FYI just quoting you so you'll see the recent post before mine from Vin as he seems interested in some parts you have.
  6. Rich, do you have a 1927 Dodge? I think he's listing this for sale, although I'm admittedly confused to be honest. Good luck Dave
  7. The workmanship alone should give you the green light. Be sure and make a video of the inspectors reaction when you first pull up. That alone should make for some fine entertainment I predict you'll be all smiles in a short while. Awesome job!
  8. I wonder if this is a similar device that’s explaining testing oil-vac gasoline fuel feed. The photo I’ve attached looks different but because it describes it “should be mounted on the inside of the dash above the level of the carburetor” (steering column?) it makes me think it’s possible yours may have been used for the same or similar purpose in theory. Because of the visible tube section it must be for something fluid related as one would not be able to see air movement. Vacuum yes, but what kind of fluid was it drawing and from where and for what purpose. I think it’s for troubleshooting as described. The description at the end of this page may also explain the convenience of the two adjustable threaded valve screws IF it’s true that this tool is a substitute for this method. I’m horrible at this sort of thing but it’s the closest thing I’ve ever found that seems similar. From a 1931 Dykes 16th edition fwiw…
  9. Incredible dash on that Bentley. I'm sure the craftsmanship looks even better in person... I've never seen a Bentley like this before, can anyone shed some light on it? Is it custom or factory and what year is it? Thanks Dave
  10. My first thought was Art Carney must be dating Janet Napolitano.... after I put my cheaters on I realized his hair was too long to be Janet. Sorry Ed, my bad... It's obvious we are just jealous and have to get our digs in since you're living our dreams Seriously though,... you guys deserve it for all your hard work, expertise and dedication to the hobby. Thanks for all your input and advice over the years. Good to see you guys enjoying your time at the greatest show on earth!
  11. Here's some info I saved that may help act as a guide
  12. Sorry, two more.. Had to share this incredibly unique (to me) AAA rig "McLaren Lodge,1921 - Golden Gate Park, AAA service demonstration ad" And this one in case others haven't seen it yet "Hamilton Square,1904 - Jefferson Peyser in a mohair coat playing in a toy car, possibly Packard brand."
  13. Last photo for me today. Hope everyone enjoys and hopefully we can find answers for others. Rare look at a National
  14. "Ten men posing in and on a 1926 Oldsmobile. Galileo High School in background"
  15. Larkin & Francisco 1920 - automobile posed on dead end beside staircase. Fort Mason beyond. Just above Russian Hill Park on west side of reservoir?
  16. "Larkin & Turk,1921 - Elevated view northwest to line of Haynes automobiles extending two blocks on Turk St.; California Hall in background; At right, Hotel Belmont 730 Eddy; St. Mark's Lutheran Church on hill. Adams School, 750 Eddy Street (built 1910), later part of City College of San Francisco, peak-roofed building at right."
