  6. Push in on the large outer ring and twist the ring counter clockwise. The plastic ring is on a steel body.

  10. My 1942 Continental o.d. at 25 just clicks or racks like pulling into low gear without stopping. I let up on the gas and it makes a noise like it is trying to get in gear but can't any ideas. Lee

  12. there is no cure. I have been in Lincoln Continentals since 1951 when I was 10 years old. I am 75 and just finished a 42 Continental coupe. It took 4 years a lot of $ since the last one. Parts seem so heavy to lift. Lee from Ohio.

  15. It just spins on the shaft. If it is on a spline drive does that mean it is split. It just spins on the drive shaft when I push on it thru the hole. Lee

  18. y speedometer is not working. I installed a new cable and housing had the head rebuilt. The drive gear on the drive shaft just spins when I poke it with my finger thru the attaching hole. what retains it? Lee

    No Power

    Just returned from Ohio and installed two new condensors and a rebuilt coil. It runs great. I have a 1 inch blue spark on all 12 cylinders. I found out that it was only running on 6 cylinders on the right side Lee
  21. I have used several Narragansett wiring harness and have always had good luck We had an upholstery shop in Newark, Ohio and bought and sold and rebuilt LC in the 60's and 70's. I just finished a 1942 Continental coupe and used Narragansett wiring in it. They are good. Lee

  23. After trying many attempts at cleaning it myself and failing I took my 42 Lincoln tank to a radiator shop and he cleaned and sealed it. Cost $180. with a guarantee that the new ethanol gas will not hurt it. It has been stored 45 years and I have been working on it the last four. It now has plain gas no ethanol in the tank runs great. Lee . ps he had the tank for 2 weeks.
